One quick question... Is it possible to back up the BIOS with/on a USB drive and if so, could I get a link to the instructions?

It seems that a few links in the pinned post "BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools" are out of date and redirect to the forum overview.

    Thank you again in advance.

    Best regards,

The cheapest one is CH341A, find more instructions for use on Youtube.

I've got a laptop that I think (from what the user is saying) was intterupted when the BIOS was being updated so I need to flash a new one with my CH341A programmer, details are as follows:

          Lenovo V15 G2 ALC
          Type: 82KD
          S/N: PF3AB3DC

I've uploaded a dump of the existing BIOS in case it is any use.

If there is anything else you need then please let me know.

          Thanks.

I've tried to do this myself by extracting the .cap file from the TDK executable from Lenovo and using a hex editor to remove the appropriate headers and managed to flash it to the laptop but I'm still having problems with it so not sure if (as it's my first time trying this) I've not done the hex editing right or if there is another fault with this laptop.

Laptop stopped working during a BIOS update.

                Board number : HV461&HV561 NM-D522 REV 2.0
                serial number: PF41Q0T3

I tried extracting a new Lenovo Phoenix TDK Bios and copy over the DMI data, but somehow it's not working and i am not sure if i did something wrong or not.

Help would be very appreciated. Thank you.
