Hi. Fixing laptopts is my full time job and this forum is a great resource for schematics, bios dumps and also information.
-
Laptop stopped working during a BIOS update.
Board number : HV461&HV561 NM-D522 REV 2.0
serial number: PF41Q0T3
I tried extracting a new Lenovo Phoenix TDK Bios and copy over the DMI data, but somehow it's not working and i am not sure if i did something wrong or not.
Help would be very appreciated. Thank you....

ACER N17W6 what is this part?
There is a short in this part? It looks like an electrolytic capacitor, but from the values on it, i can't find anything about it....

Re: BIOS needed for Acer ES1-132-C1RA
Sorry my mistake. I conveniently forgot that the original chip is 1.8V and i don't have such a programmer. So i was using a 3.3V chip. The two BIOS files provided might as well be working, but i don't have a way to test them.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi.
Have been working with PC's for over 10 years now and have always done the basic stuff. Now i am trying to learn how to fix electronics components on a hardware level and even thought i have learned a lot in the past few months since i have my new job, it's seems like it's just a tiny fraction of the knowledge i need to figure out electronics.
