Yes I guess, that little hole button in right side border panel where one led glow. Is that novo/reset button? If yes then I inserted sim ejector pin tool but still nothing happens. Laptop restart and 3 indicators keep glowing.Comment

I don't have backup of bios. I don't have soldering etc tools to do that. Just trying my best if it can be resolved by user end only through usb bootable like we make Windows OS bootable file from iso image ? If I need to visit chip level work technicians then what exactly they need to do can anyone say? Bcz I don't want repair man to ruin my motherboard doing hit and trial method.Comment

You are making things more complicated, let's say you have the .bin file then how do you write it to the bios chip and how do you update the DMI for it.

3 days prior my Lenovo laptop notified of a bios update, at first I tried to decline it but when i put it on charging lenovo vantage started installing it automatically. After bios was updated i was asked for ftpm reset, first I chose no but same pop up showed up so i had to choose yes. After this concluded i successfully booted, but i had linux dual booted with windows, and it was nowhere to be seen after bios update, i tried secure boot off then successfully entered linux. after shutting down my laptop i encountered this issue:
power is supplied
screen remains blank (it gets power)
nums, caps and esc keys are continuously flashing with no response
i tried resetting graphics driver - nothing happened
researched more got to know bios corruption is likely the issue
i am trying to recover bios via usb, i extracted glcn68ww.exe till bios.cap. help me extract required bios file or suggest other things i should try.

The trouble I'm having is that I'm not getting the newly...-

I'm working on a Lenovo LOQ 15APH8, Serial# MP2L9MAV. I want to flash a new BIOS onto it, but I'm also trying to learn this process for my own enrichment and professional development.
I was watching some tutorials, copying the serial info blocks from the old bios to a new bios. Before that though, they use innoextract on the Lenovo .exe. I downloaded Innoextract v1.9 but it tells me my .exe is not a supported inno setup installer(see screenshot). So if I unpack this using 7zip, I do get a .ROM file, but according to my tutorials, I'm looking for a .FD file.

by maanee11Hello Everyone,
I have Lenovo Legion 5-15IMH05H (Lenovo) - Type 81Y6
and I have encountered a Black screen on startup. I have tried the power drain and all sorts of tricks that were available online to revive it but no joy.
Since I have already an expired warranty, I am thinking of flashing the BIOS externally. I have a Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, I need a bin file for the BIOS. The latest BIOS executable can be found here but I need the bin file to flash it externally.
