I just checked and there is no difference between this file and the one made by spd removal tool. The hexer script for ram removal also makes the same file.

Removing only the SPD entries isn`t going to work. There`s lots more to it, it`s complicated. The ram part numbers are in the premem PEI sections. I don`t think that filling the names with 00`s would work either.

It`s beyond mine as well. Have you checked to see if RAM can be disable via resistor straps.

Unfortunately, it didn't work, knowing that there is a dynamic ampere draw without disable with the device’s BIOS file. As for the BIOS that you shared with me, the ampere draw is not dynamic.

I just used an updated BIOS(BIG MISTAKE, i wish i used the current bios version) that I downloaded from Lenovo website and my laptop has black screen now. Tried all the methods I saw on the internet. Nothing works.

                                      Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 - real bios dump from board needed (no stock bios)
                                      by DynaxSC
Hi, I have an MSI PRO B660M-G DDR4 board with damaged BIOS and i need a bios dump from a real board, along with MAC, UUID and Serial Number info (eg. a BIOS screenshot and pictures from the board stickers).

I need to reconstruct the bios on my board, based on another bios image form a real board - meaning a bios image containing MAC address, UUID and Serial number. A stock BIOS is not suffiecient, as it is impossible to discover where the MAC, UUID and SerialNumber are stored. Tried with a similar board, but there are too much differences, and the stock BIOS is missing a lot of...

                                      ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                      Some issues
                                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                      Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
