-- Ok. My bad. The problem was an shorted capacitor near BIOS chip, next to the litle IC or transistor (3 pin). The small capacitor was only detected faultry with infrared camera, because of head from the IC/transistor near it. Strangely all voltages, except in that line not related to any coil, are apparently ok. It is a case for a BadCap! This is easy to occur beacuse this motherboard zone is in the ventilation grid openings and moisture can give this results. -
Firstly thank you for the BIOS file.
I can only flash the UEFI yesterday. It seems that is doing the same. I will try to reheat (from bottom) the cpu and see if the system boots to UEFI. Strangely if i remove the BIOS chip, the system will not power up - i could think this UEFI BIOS chip will not be needed to EC in case of BIOS reset (by not connecting battery nor AC adapter/power supply). So maybe the problem is somewere else in this motherboard. I will report when there is more time to see this.Leave a comment:

Posted wrong on X512DA thread, i am restarting here and kindly ask moderator to erase my post there.
I have an Asus X512DK (board with only APU) that is powering right away on dc-in voltage from bench supply. CPU start to get hot very fast and then in about 1 minute the fan start to spin. All voltages seem to be good. Current not changing much (dont remember values but are around 500mA). I think this is a case from a corrupted BIOS chip (from Windows Update Mallware).
S/N: K3N0CV10R13613B
Attaching the needed images and file. Cannot upload .bin nor .jpg - created ZIP with all files (in the other thread i missed the internal QRCode and Board Version - it is V2.1).
Best regards.Attached FilesLeave a comment:

There`s nothing wrong with the bios that hoaca388 posted. Flash it again, to the same 1.8V bios chip and double check your soldering. Doesn`t make sense why VCC would be 0 voltsLeave a comment:

Updates: Bios that you provide doesn't work,
Result: 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128 and EEPROM VCC 0 volt and the charging voltage 0 volt.
Installed the original bios to my unit
Result: 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128, EEPROM VCC 1.8 volts and the charging voltage 6.7 voltsLeave a comment:

I already replaced the RT8249CGQ responsible for the 3.3v AO voltage to turn on IT8225e-128
Installed the original bios to my unit
Result: 19v main , 3.3v VCC in IT8225E-128, EEPROM VCC 1.8 volts and the charging voltage 6.7 volts
need enable signal from IT8225E-128 to turn on the 5v and 3.3v coil of RT8249CGQ.
Need a clean ME bios dump of my original bios.
I don't have programmer tool for EC to program the IT8225E-128 KBC.

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by grimacelordHello,
I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.
I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.
The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.
Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...-

by jbonavitaHi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried
1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...-

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.
I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...-

by lrouw84Hi there,
I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..
I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....-
