    Hi,

I'm trying to fix my daughter's Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14ALC05, the screen simply stays black and the Esc and Capslock LEDs are lighting up, fan is on.

    S/N: PW023V0L
    MTM: 82HU00MTIX
    MO:: PWN0B2511006

I dumped the bios with my CH341A but it seems that the bios is "empty". I don't know how to recover the DMI

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

Make more backups and compare them. Are you using a clip, is the chip supported

i am dealing with 74M12JWSIQ which doesnt get detected.

                  IC not responding
                  Current programmer: CH341 Black

                  LC56-14A SVT
                  203021-1

Suspecting faulty ROM. Any recommendations as replacement?
Would Any 1.8V 120 Flash size would work?
XM25QH128A I have here seems to be 3.3V

It doesn`t get detected because you are doing something wrong or the chip is not in the support list. Don`t assume it`s a fault ROM just because you can`t read it. Choose a different chip that is in the list for example W25Q128JW (1.8V) and try reading it again. If you`re using a clip or pogo adapter it`s not the most reliable way, desoldering the chip and putting it in or on an adapter is the best way.

                      Thanks SMDflea
I should have specified that this is with the ic desoldered and placed on a SOP socket on 25xx side
I have tried with the clip initially, but hasn't detected it. Unless that clip damaged the chip somehow. :/

Where the XM25QH128A IC on that socket reads fine, but gives me this error when programming XM25QH128A with GJCN27WW.bin or W25Q128FW_dump.bin from another but same board numbers.

                      Code:
                      22:40:05
                      Programming memory(verifying)... Main Memory
Verification error on address: 0x00000000, Device: 0x00, Buffer: 0x02
                      Execution time: 00:00:00.032
                      Current programmer: CH341 Black
Seems there is no W25Q128JW on the CH341 Black list. Has anyone come across new list updates? My NeoProgrammer 2.2.0 Chiplist is from 29/09/2021

You can add new chip support to NeoProgrammer https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...41a-programmer

Attached is ASProgrammer 2.1.2 ,it has pretty good XMC support.
Attached is my NeoProgrammer chiplist ,the 25Q128JW is supported.

                        .
