HP probook 450 g8 Bios password help
i bought a used HP probook 450 g8, only to find out it has a BIOS password, i can access windows but still i want to get rid of it just in case, as i found out online that with modern laptops removing the RTC battery is useless so i didn't bother, i want to try the backdoors method but when i enter the wrong password 3 times, the hash code / checksum doesn't show for me even with trying the tips on dogber post.
So, any help with how to make the hash code appear is greatly appreciated.Comment

Hi Everyone,
I'm facing a problem with a locked bios with a password and i can't find how to remove it...
The small computer is only booting on a M2 ssd Windows partition and i get a "signed partition error" if i try to boot on the same SSD with another Os (linux for example).

The laptop is no longer under warranty and HP refused to help me.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make... -

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....
