the bios from post # 204 is virgin, use the HxD program (it's free on the internet), enter both bios into the program (your laptop and the virgin one),
select that interval mentioned in both bios, copy the interval in your bios and pass it to the virgin bios (copy - paste)....and that's it...

yes sir, i usualy used HxD program to move DMI info to a new bios with help UEFI Tool program, but on this bios i couldn't find it.
though i couldn't fully understand when you said "select that interval mentioned in both bios", i manage to compare and locate DMI area using bios from post 252 & 253,
sadly on my bios dump those area is empty

as per your suggestion, since i don't have any info about the unit i worked on (sn, uuid, mtm, etc...) i use info from un-repairable unit with same model and ofcourse used U1 tool too insert those info & worked.
dead "ID" on repaired unit 😅. Thank you for the guide sir

Hi, could someone help me with my corrupted BIOS file? For context, when I turn on my PC the power button LED lights up, the fan spins but the screen stays black. I tried some BIOS files from this thread, but to no avail.

                      Thanks for the reply!
I tried to extract the BIOS file from bios.cap and then followed the guide on how to copy the DMI information (as explained in the link that you provide, following post #1, the file attached to post #12 is not available "Invalid File Specified"). I flashed the .bin, turned on the PC but the screen remains black (no backlight), then I turned off the PC, pressed the Novo button for five seconds until I heard a "beep" from the motherboard, the PC turned on, the screen showed the Lenovo logo, then the boot manager and 2 seconds later the screen went black, I tried to turn on the PC again with the power button, then with the Novo button but it did nothing, just black screen, so I was curious if the Novo button did "something" to the BIOS file, so I made a dump of the IC and compared the .bin I flashed and the .bin from the dump with winmerge and found that the file in the IC was modified, I will attach the newbios.bin and the extracted.bin, now I have no idea what is going on

                      Thanks in advance!

                        Lenovo IdeaPad 330 15-AST 81D6 BIOS Recovery
                        by jendkkd jeje
So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.

I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...

                        by Wahaz
                        Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                        by grimacelord
                        Hello there.

I am working on a Lenovo Legion T5-26AMR5 desktop that currently has a corrupt BIOS and I have been unsuccessful thus far in trying to fix it myself.

                        History:

                        1. This computer came to me initially with an error message that said "BiInitializeLibrary failed 0xc0000001" or "0135 fan error". It would always be one of the two errors. It should be noted that when it produced the fan error, there was no physical problem with the fans. They were all spinning just fine.

I searched for this error online and discovered...
