Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
Hi I was reading this Thread. Then I downloaded T2 Unlock Data Mina 1.4. My Model is MacBook Air A1932, but could not find A1932 T2 Unlock Data. I am getting error:21 - 0x15 (21) in DFU mode when I coonect to my other MacBook. Can I use the closet model or is there a separate Unlock Bin file for A1932 EMC 3184 2018??? Any help would be much appreciated., ThanksLeave a comment:

Theoretically, but MUCH easier said than done. Go try to pull a T2 and come back here once you've done so lol.Leave a comment:

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
Has your spare board got an older, jailbreak capable bridgeOS?
There's some information in this thread to work out if you have older or newer bridgeOS based on the screenshot of it booting into recovery.Leave a comment:

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
according to my investigations, there're no useful information, except machine serial number and board number in t2 rom. t2 rom only need to boot into dfu. also, all known methods of jailbreak won't work, because of usb-c firmware patch in t2 chip. t2 chip also have small rom-memory inside. the only way to remove icloud lock is to modify ECID of t2. this operation isn't possible for current moment.Leave a comment:

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
Hey guys!
Sorry for my english. I know it's poor cuz I'm from Ukraine))
Look, I've got AppleID locked MB Pro A2141 and I wonder if I can unlock it.
As I know Apple blocked jailbreak ability on the last MacOS.
I've got another A2141 logic board with issues and it has FMM OFF.
So I wonder if it's possible to replace some IC's from the defective logic board with FMM off to my locked board? Has anybody done this before?
Should I replace T2 itself + SPI or should I replace WIFI+NANDs additionaly?
Thanks in advance!Leave a comment:

Of course, cuz activation lock is initially a hardware problemLeave a comment:

Re: T2 Chip Programmer Tool
I personally do not think a true (and permanent--without exceptions) software-based bypass/unlock (as everyone thinks of it) will ever be released for the T2 models. That's my opinion.Leave a comment:

by acedogblastThis is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.
There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as... -
by baletakHi,
had T490 with faulty bios chip. Bought chip out of ebay and soldered on. Laptop starts and works however serial numbers of laptop and motherboard do not match.
I have updated laptop model number.
1) I did not find the way to update laptop serial number - I have this one.
2) I dont know where to get my motherboard serial number and how to update it. Is it somewhere physically on the mainboard? How do I update it?
Hope to find someone to help me with this as I am hitting dead end at the moment.
Many thanks

by SMDFleaAdding chip support is quite easy, there`s even some instructions included with NeoProgrammer, although its not obvious where they are
and once you do find them there`s a few crucial steps missing.
Extract chiplist.zip to a folder, the instructions are in Import_EN.txt and in Import.xml .Its the xml file where we add the new chip.
Open Import.xml with notepad or any other text editor. In this example i`m adding a Macronix MX77L25650F SPI_NOR chip.
After adding the chip save the xml file and copy it to the root directory of the...-

Long story short:
- dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
- gave the computer to his son a couple years later
- son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
- too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)
He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8... - Loading...
