Lenovo 13 Type 20J2 S/N LR-0B02EQ 18/03 locating BIOS chip
Hi All,
Need help in locating BIOS chip on the motherboard of Lenovo 13 Type 20J2 S/N LR-0B02EQ 18/03.
There is a small cmos battery on the bottom side of the board. Upon removing battery can see two MXIC 8 pin ic's.
1) MXIC 25L80006E
2) MXIC 25V10358
Dumping first one only has 1mb of data. And does not look right.
By the way. Laptop has BIOS password set to get in to BIOS only. At the moment having difficulty locating BIOS chip on the physical mainboard.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi
Glad to be here badcaps!
We have couple of machines, Lenovo Thinkpad X13 Gen1 which have BIOS lock password. Just want to ask if someone can post the manual/steps how to use the software autopatcher? I read through the forum, most of people are sharing the experience, however no one post the steps on how to use the software. I already download the patcher which is a CMD file, but that is, I really have no idea hwo to move forward. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.Comment

Hi, think that is patcher is not exist. Password is stored in MEC1663 chip and you have to do with SVOD or to fallow procedure on link:

by RMDUiFTGood day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
I have a few questions:- If I would buy this laptop and have

But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
