If I have a HP ProBook x360 11 G1 with no pass and save bios with no pass then I put a password and save bios with password would it be of help? Someone with more experience can analyze them and see where is diference. At a glance it seems to be in DevExp1 region/IVBP.

The difference between the 2 files is in DevExp1_region. I think with this model just flashing the virgin bios file from HP should be able to remove the password. I attach virgin bios file from HP, can you try?

sorry, I had laptop for a brief period to replace thermal paste and reinstall OS. But ppl with bios locked can do it.

Use hp config utility to read config, flash clean dump to eeprom, use hp config utility to write back config.

Probook 11 g1 is a special snowflake.

You need to use HP biosconfigutility to read bios config. Then use spi programmer to dump that bios. Clean TXE region. Program that new bios. Then use biosconfigutility to write back config.

@RethoricalCheese, when you say "read bios config", what's the file format?
I saved my config as "config.txt" but my spi programmer (ezp2010 programmer v3) gives me error "file is too long".

You got something mixed up.

Use biosconfigutility in windows, save config as .txt file.

Then shut down, open up the laptop, use spi programmer to read bios dump (.bin file).
Clean TXE region (or find a clean one from the internet.)
Write clean .bin file to laptop. Put it back together.

Boot into windows and use biosconfigutility to write back the config (.txt) file you created in step 1.

I believe I have done this?
I flashed my laptop (ProBook x360 11 G1 EE) with the latest BIOS using HP's .exe file and I still get the admin password after rebooting and trying to access BIOS to make changes.
It looks like I will need to clean the TXE region and re-flash.
Will try to use the clean TXE region file provided (in previous post somewhere) and test and post my result.

I think I managed to get a dump of my BIOS however, it is a little smaller than the "clean txe" bios posted here in previous post.
Attached is my BIOS dump, does it have a password?
