    Hello everyone,
I have a problem with a Dell Latitude 5500 laptop I bought last week from a local website, the seller told me it was password protected but the price was good so I bought it. I turned it on and of course it has a master password so I searched the net for solutions and identified the bios chip which is Winbond 25Q256JVEIQ and I desolder with the hot air station all good and well I read it with the programmer I have an EZP2023+ SPI Flash which for me is ok for now just that I only read it once I saved it twice in two different locations although I knew I had to read it 2- 3 times and compare it with HxD but I simply forgot, I found a password unlocking patch and did it, when I installed it back in place surprise the laptop won't boot, I installed the original bios back in place and still nothing. When I reinstalled the bios for the second time I noticed that a small resistor is missing which is connected with leg 3 of the bios I looked for the schematic or boardview but I couldn't find anything , only something similar where it appears to be a 49.9ohm resistor I soldered it but still nothing, please help me.

    motherboard EDC50 LA-G901P, REV. 1.0(A00)

    Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much, but the problem is that it doesn't start even with the original bios, could it be the 50 ohm resistor that I lost? I think its value is 49.9 ohm according to the schematic.

        Hi!

I kindly need your help with a DELL Wyse 5070 thin client which has locked BIOS settings (I want to change the boot order but I have to provide a password first). Is it possible for someone here to help me ?

I am attaching the original bios dump of the machine in question.

        Service Tag: 5X1ZQL3

I would really appreciate any help.

        Thanks in advance!

Sorry for that but I'm bit confused.

            Shall I make a new post ?
