Hello everyone,

I have a Dell Latitude 5500 (8FC8), and I’m trying to unlock the BIOS admin password.

Motherboard : EDC50 LA-901P Rev:1.0 (A00) from 2019.
Bios chip : Winbond W25Q128JVSQ (16mb) – see attached

I also have a Winbond W25Q64JVIQ chip and I'm unsure if I need a dump from it, or if the W25Q128JVSQ alone is sufficient.

Yes, I've successfully used it several times before. If there is more than one BIOS chip and it doesn't find the correct pattern in first one it's always found it in another. This time, though, it doesn't finds it in either - and as far as I can tell they're the only two BIOS chips in the system.

I have successfully read and verified the contents of both the 8 and 16 MB BIOS chips (attached).

Normally I would unlock this myself with the Rex98 Patcher, but with both of these files it says '8FC8 Hex Pattern not Found'.

Can someone please explain what I might be doing wrong, or unlock the files for me? Thanks!

hey i have this bios image that need to be cleared the laptop doesn't turn on
and i used onother bios it work but late to display so my broblem is 100% bios can somone fix it for me and thanks in advance

Clean the ME firmware of the working bios to fix the delay, or just find a working bios in this thread with already cleaned firmware

None of the online auto generators seems to work, it won't spit out any password string for me. A tad weird, really.
Hopefully someone here can help me! <3

post full name and model, motherboard model, etc.
post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..
