Maybe you could try to follow this guy's Mec1663Clearpassword dump.

Using Mec1633_256K, you can't used auto detect IC on that, because its a MEC1663

    Hi.

I have a Lenovo T490 (S/N PF-1DN15F / Type 20N3-S1J700) laptop that requests fingerprint authentication or password when powered on:

I've tried to unlock the laptop by following the instructions posted here and here, but so far I've had no luck.

I bought an RT809H programmer and:
    • Installed the iFix Programmer Software version 20240116
    • Disassembled the laptop and removed the motherboard
    • Removed the CMOS Battery
    • Moved the 10K resistor to a new location

    • Connected the Laptop A/C Adapter to the motherboard so that it has power (I don't try to "turn the laptop on" by pressing any button)
    • Tried to read the chip from the Programmer software using the SMSC MEC1633_256K Partnumber (Also tried MEC1633 #ISP)
Whenever I try to read the chip from the programmer, I get this error:

Have you tested this method on P53s 20N6 Serial number PF292CDY? I can't find the schematics for this motherboard, and it seems different from the P53. Thank you!

@abelkakraba: You only have to write back your original saved Bios. After that it will restart with the same status as before using the Lenovo patcher.

In my experience, when you erase the EC chip to reprogram it, is when the internal EEPROM contents are erased too, that EEPROM memory hold the Supervisor Password among other data like Model Number, Serial Number, TYPE, etc.

So depending on the programmer you are using the next step is to reprogram the EC chip with the exact file you saved from EC, then use the software utility (ThinkPad Maintenance Utility) that is in another post to program the ThinkPad DMI information.

I've verified the EC file you uploaded, version N2IHT39W, with the corresponding BIOS/EC update downloaded from Lenovo and it is an exact copy; I just had to delete the header from the EC update (first 32-bytes) and the tail starting from 40000h all the way to the end, then I could do the comparison of both files.
I have really learned a lot reading your post, and i am grateful for having kindhearted people like you here. Instead of working on the Jtags to clear my supervisor password on my ThinkPad T490 i mistakenly used the Lenovo patcher with my bios file of 32mb. Afterwards i am not getting any display, can you assist me to get the machine working again.

I've downloaded and extracted the same EC update version as in your file, trimmed the 32-byte header from the EC update version N2IHT42W, here's the complete file (262,144 bytes or 256kB). Check your programmer and select a chip size of at least 256kB or greater and try, it should work.
Hie i tried it but still its not working the machine is only powering orange light on power and nothing else

    Hey guys,

have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.
I thought the supervisor password is stuck in the ec bios but no it isn't either because after replacing the ec chip from one of another board it still has the supervisor password.
Anyway i wanted to ask what of the two chips is the ec bios because on the left...

Help needed in unlocking BIOS Supervisor password - Lenovo X1 Yoga 5th Gen
    by baaligoga
    Good day, everyone!

I'm encountering an issue with my Lenovo X1 Yoga 5th Gen laptop related to the BIOS supervisor password. I'm seeking assistance and guidance from the knowledgeable members of this community in resolving this problem.

I am no expert and cannot perform soldering or unsoldering of the chip from the board. Therefore, I attempted to use an EZP 2023 programmer with a clip to extract the BIOS bin file without removing the BIOS chip from the motherboard. The BIOS chip has the following letters imprinted on it: "Winbond 25Q80DVNIG 2026". I used the...

Lenovo P16 Gen1 Supervisor Password from factory
    by Pusher
Hi, I bought a Lenovo P16 Gen1 from a private seller. The box was still originally sealed but when I want to enter the BIOS a supervisor password is required. Is it possible that the notebook was delivered by Lenovo with a password? What can I do to reset the password? Unfortunately, I no longer have contact with the seller.

Supervisor password retrieval from Lenovo T550
    by Pascos
    Hi all,

I bought a few Lenovo laptops from a batch, most of them having a 10th/11th gen Intel CPU, and I found out they all have a supervisor password enabled. I understand you would need soldering or a programmer to disable the supervisor password on these newer units, which I would like to prevent if at all possible. I have the suspicion that all the laptops are using the same password, though.

In the batch there is also an earlier T550. Is there a method available to retrieve the supervisor password from this model so it can be tested with the others?
