Hi, I bought a Lenovo P16 Gen1 from a private seller. The box was still originally sealed but when I want to enter the BIOS a supervisor password is required. Is it possible that the notebook was delivered by Lenovo with a password? What can I do to reset the password? Unfortunately, I no longer have contact with the seller.

Re: Lenovo P16 Gen1 Supervisor Password from factory
If someone read this... I have more informations that Lenovo will set hardcoded Supervisor Passwords during manufacturing. Please have a look here:

Now I have a problem because I have a really expensive Notebook with a Supervisor Password set. Is there any chance to reset the Password?

Hey guys,
have a laptop here that has a supervisor Password (dump in Attachements).
Before i write the Serial NR.etc i wanted to say that strangely after flashing with 3 different Bios dumps and one from lenovos site
the laptop works but everytime it wants me to type a supervisor password i never set.

by baaligogaGood day, everyone!
I'm encountering an issue with my Lenovo X1 Yoga 5th Gen laptop related to the BIOS supervisor password. I'm seeking assistance and guidance from the knowledgeable members of this community in resolving this problem.
I am no expert and cannot perform soldering or unsoldering of the chip from the board. Therefore, I attempted to use an EZP 2023 programmer with a clip to extract the BIOS bin file without removing the BIOS chip from the motherboard. The BIOS chip has the following letters imprinted on it: "Winbond 25Q80DVNIG 2026". I used the...-

I would like a Lenovo Thinkpad L14 gen1 Ryzen5 4500 CPU!
Unfortunately, there is a supervisor password in the bios, its owner overcomplicated the password and did not write it down...
I haven't found any worthwhile information on the forums yet, the machine is too new or too rare.
Maybe you can help us.
I have attached the dumb file below.
Chip: 25Q128JWSQ...-

by PascosHi all,
I bought a few Lenovo laptops from a batch, most of them having a 10th/11th gen Intel CPU, and I found out they all have a supervisor password enabled. I understand you would need soldering or a programmer to disable the supervisor password on these newer units, which I would like to prevent if at all possible. I have the suspicion that all the laptops are using the same password, though.
In the batch there is also an earlier T550. Is there a method available to retrieve the supervisor password from this model so it can be tested with the others?-
