Hello friends, can someone help me with this bios t470, it is my first attempt to patch my bios but it does not give me an image, a somewhat special beep sounds but it does not give me an image, I have patched two b.option and files. len.translate I don't know what I did wrong ... can someone help me please.Comment

I bought a used T470 that did not specifically mention the bios was locked, it only listed *199. My fault for not understanding what I was buying. I need help with removing the svp on the bios dump.

Thanks aldopc but I am having issues with the laptop not powering on. After getting the original dump I tried a clean bin for a T470 found in the forums and after flashing I had the power on issue. I flashed the original bin back but no luck. Any idea's for the power on issue? I have unplugged the internal battery and the cmos battery as well but that did not help. I will get the indicator light when the power cord is plugged in and the power button will flash a couple of times but that is all.

Hello, I have a T470 and don't have the BIOS password, and need to access it to be able to boot my notebook (it isshowing me an error in the boot and forcing me to enter setup to fix it, but I can't enter and consequently cant boot).
I don't have knowledge of what tools (software and hardware) I need to access it and read/write the BIOS and how to remove this password as was mentioned before in this post.
Can you, or somebodyelse here, send me any tutorial or teach me how to identify the correct chip in my motherboard, read the information, dump it to be able to send here or to manually remove this passaword (or identify it in side the dump to be able to use to login)?Comment

Good day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.

I have a laptop that was purchased second-hand, and I am able to boot Windows on and extract the BIOS dump (ONLY the BIOS region, I was unable to dump anything else due to an FCERR I received trying to dump the other regions) and use normally. However, because the BIOS is locked with a supervisor password, I am unable to use anything else except for Windows, and it has also disabled some hardware features of the laptop itself, such as the fingerprinting module, etc. that I really do wish to use.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
