[HELP] Asus E203NA Serial Number Gone

please help put serial number in bios, the bios chip in the unit was blank before i flashed it using file from https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=82789 and the flashed file worked fine, but without serial number.
since the bios chip blank (empty) so i think it useless to upload the dump with all "FF" inside it, but here's the serial number on the sticker: HBN0CX09H07245E

You can use asus block transmit tool, the short name is asus bt.exe . bt2.exe is used with newer boards .Search the forum, both have been posted somewhere.Alternatively you can edit the serial with a hex editor.

the DMI can be copied from a backup (you dont have one) or from a dump that has DMI info in it then hex edit the serial/win key etc. Just use bt(2).exe to add it .

just noticed, the bios doesn't have a legacy or csm mode. using dos box on win10 setup result error when running bt(2).exe.

i think just had to wait for someone to upload their bios dump

Sorry,i gave you wrong info about this particular bios The serial/DMI is in one of the partitions in the TXE firmware, it would be difficiult to add it or change it.I found a dump with the DMI in it,the problem is the TXE FW is initialised ,and cleaning it removes the DMI.Do you still have the laptop

With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

                              ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                              by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                              Some issues
                              A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                              Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

                              Hi there,

I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..

I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....
