Oh no, that was verified before rewriting. Can I take a dump from different machine but same model?

Yes, if you clean the ME region it works.
You can also build a new one.
There is no information such as Windows Key Service Tag stored in your BIOS file.

Hello rex98, thank you for your correction, I have already compared yours and my BIOF file and of course found that our two files are identical.
It was too tedious for me to comment on it because we both don't know what skills the user has, how good their soldering skills are or the like.
I think what most people forget is to do the steps described in the Dell article.

                      https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/e...n-dell-systems

Because the manipulated patch resets everything to the beginning.
So I always do it as described by Dell and have no problems.

thanks rex98 and Markus1741 im going to resolder the chip. Also I deleted the existing BIOS before flashing the patched and unlocked BIOS. Would that affect the process too?

Thanks for the reply Markus1741 I am 99.99% sure with that solder hehehe but I will still resolder the chip. They are not that hard compared to mobile phone chips. In case my BIOS backup file was corrupted, is there any way to fix the problem? Thanks for you reply.

Oops, I once compared your original uploaded file with a file from me without a PW and in my opinion it is defective.
There are too many inconsistencies listed.
The second picture should show yours with PW on the left and mine without PW on the right.
Now you need a new BIOS file, I can build a new one, but from experience it's unlikely that that will solve the problem.
Second choice is a ME region cleaned file, Dell is not that picky.

Just try NeoProgrammer, your programmer software can't handle the chip.
I would also invest in a T48 or RT809F or RT809H programmer, they come with their own software.

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...

I am trying to remove the BIOS password for a Dell Latitude 5430 motherboard LA-L591P. So far I think that I have located the BIOS chip but NeoProgrammer says that is detects 3 chips. I have attached the dump from each one. Are any of these the BIOS file? Service Tag: 1DMC1T3. If nyone knows the exact location of the bios chip as well I would greatly appreciate it...

                                          Hi

i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
                                          - takes long time to restart.
                                          - sometimes powers on and then off
                                          - sometimes while working it just dies,

From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?

i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)

As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
                                          I reinstall...

Dell Latitude 5520 - dump bios to obtain password
                                          by iwu
                                          Hello,

I am not experienced in electronics, but I really want to check if my idea is possible.

I have motherboard replaced from Dell Latitude 5520 (11th gen on i5 CPU).
BIOS/UEFI access on that MB/PC is blocked by password which I want to get it know - even if I need some bruteforcing or stupid manual activities.
                                          There was no computrace activated.

I was happy when I saw many posts about removing BIOS password based on .bin file dummps. I wanted to go little further - get to know the password from the dump.

                                          1. I do not know how thebios...
