Re: Dell Latitude 7400 Bios Password
One more important detail for everyone... Helping users on the forums or outside of them has always been a hobby, I don't depend on it for a living. I've always liked to share my knowledge, that's the only way we can evolve.
Not many know who was responsible for publishing the suffixes 1F5A, 1F66, 6FF1 on the bios-pw website in 2016. I believe it helped and helps millions of people around the world. I would like to do the same with new projects in Badcaps, but it is not easy.

Re: Dell Latitude 7400 Bios Password
Is this a rule or is it just for me? I see many members posting external download links. I am just posting the pure file in (.bin) format without any credentials. As you know, I do not agree with the Dell Bios posting, for the user's own safety.

You have been following my posts, they are public, I don't agree with just the Dell files for security reasons. Is there a way around this? I would very much like to continue contributing.Last edited by SMDFlea; 01-22-2022, 03:07 AM.Comment

Re: Dell Latitude 7400 Bios Password
2010-2017 (7 years) Apple in MacBook's keep the same security, now from 2018 to 2021 change the security twice with T2 and M1.
Lenovo from 4th to 8th generation the same security rules, now from 9th to 11th have 4 different security chips.
I also think that engineers from big brands, are adjusting the security weakness from this kind of public discussions.

The answer is simple, post files here not externally. If you don`t want to do that because you`ve got some new method you want to protect then don`t offer any help.Comment

I think when we show to entire world how to brake security to $1,500 dollars notebook. It is a big offense for this big brands.

A sentence that contains all of the letters of the English alphabet. Owing to its brevity and coherence, it has become widely known.
What value would this sentence have if one letter was missing?

3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by anlsmithI am trying to remove the BIOS password for a Dell Latitude 5430 motherboard LA-L591P. So far I think that I have located the BIOS chip but NeoProgrammer says that is detects 3 chips. I have attached the dump from each one. Are any of these the BIOS file? Service Tag: 1DMC1T3. If nyone knows the exact location of the bios chip as well I would greatly appreciate it...

by TripTopHi
i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
I reinstall...-

by iwuHello,
I am not experienced in electronics, but I really want to check if my idea is possible.
I have motherboard replaced from Dell Latitude 5520 (11th gen on i5 CPU).
BIOS/UEFI access on that MB/PC is blocked by password which I want to get it know - even if I need some bruteforcing or stupid manual activities.
There was no computrace activated.
I was happy when I saw many posts about removing BIOS password based on .bin file dummps. I wanted to go little further - get to know the password from the dump.
