It looks like you patch some bios here, sorry for the noob question but can I apply the roms found here ? Flashing from usb key says they are invalid.

    Regards
you can use the bios found here but like this..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

don't forget to make a copy of the original bios before writing the bios chip...

The sticker on the first laptop is damaged. Is it possible to watch S.T. somewhere else?

                    It doesn't work for me.
When I created the BIOS dump, I didn't check whether it was ok and maybe it was faulty? I dont know.

I've tried various BIOS dumps from this thread, but the laptop comes with 3 white and 4 yellow lights and Dell Recovery BIOS_IMG.rcv doesn't work for me either.

I've attached my other two BIOS files. Can I clean those as well?
Is there a way to write to the chip with the clip? I have to unsolder and write to it every time. Using the clip, I always get an error saying it's protected. I use AsProgrammer or NeoProgrammer.

Hey, i tried your file, but it doesnt work for me it blinks 2 white and 2 amber.
Maybe the bios chip is defective?

I've desoldered the chip so many times and rewritten a new BIOS dump, but every time it flashes 2 white and 2 amber.
Even with Dell Recovery I cannot restore the BIOS, it reads the USB stick but that doesnt lead to anything.

Could it be due to the 1mb or 4mb bios dump?

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                          by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Dell 9010 MT BIOS Update Always Fails
                          by mikeybass
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

Help with BIOS update on Dell G15 5515 after chip replacement
                          by capoplays
                          Hey everyone,

I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.

The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.

When I check the BIOS using the F12 menu Flash...

                          by Akhlz001
                          Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Dell Latitude 5431 issues with dumping bios
                          by Sathsul
So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...
