Your case is a little bit different than usual admin pass, so the HPU didn't do the job.
I did not pay attention, sorry.

Question, So I program the chip, and then verify, but fails verification. I've downloaded the Bin that I put on it and it seems that in 6 spots it has changed the file with FF, does anyone have any clue.

Hello, I have an HP Pro X2 612 G2, I was able to get it programmed to exact match, resoldered the chip to the board, and now the small led next to the USB3 port flashes orange and white with no display and does not seem to boot up.
Any Ideas?

you need an SPI programmer to extract the contents of the bios chip ... then use HPUnlocker on that contents ...

Looking for help. I've found a couple of these forms related to this tablet. I just recently picked one up used but the BIOS is locked. BIOS chip is a Windbond 25Q128JVPQ. My question is do I need to upload my BIOS that I pulled off it with the CH341 and NeoProgrammer or can I used the posted .bin file that was posted in another forum? Is it a generic image that can be used to flash the chip? Thanks!Comment

Yes, you need to post your own original bios bin. It contains your password and sometimes it is easier to "fix" your bios so it will bypass the password nag or entirely erase it. You MUST make at least three readings, save each, do a comparison analysis with winhex, all should be identical, start from scratch at least twice. Do not rely on a clip, but if it gives good reading, it is ok. Your readings should be 16MB in size. Rar or zip it, and upload here using advanced menu.Comment

Thanks Mazorca, guess I should have asked more questions before I attempted the update. I grabbed 2 copies but they’re quite different, same size, and now I’m pretty sure I’ve bricked my BIOS. I attempted to upload the one I grabbed off a forum for the HP Pro x2 612 G2 thinking it was universal The built in HP BIOS recovery method doesn’t seem to be working either to restore from the HDD. If I can get it to boot again and get 3 good copies I’ll pass along.Comment

Go here, download BIOS and make a recovery flash drive on another computer, preferably an HP make. You will still have a password, it is probably in the EC region. If you can recover, do a good reading, someone here will help you.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :
-I removed the BIOS battery and main battery. Waited for a long time but it didn't work. They already stated in the user manual that the password will not be reset even if the batteries... -

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set.... -
