    Asus GL702VM BIOS dump

    good evening from Germany, I have an Asus gl702vm and the problem that I need the original bios! does anyone have that ?! and possibly an idea where I get the board view? Am grateful for any help

    In the Site *************, i find a File but i need a VIP Account, anyone have a VIP Account ?! To Share the File with meine?!

          hello, I have a completely new bios chip and would like to make a new bios on it! i can just take a normal bios from asus! or is it a special dumb ?!

              it is available on the Asus website, but you have to mention the CPU model and the GPU model to select the right Bios file. To do that, go to the following link and choose one of the four displayed laptop models:
              https://www.asus.com/search/results....rchKey=GL702VM

              then, go to the "support" section and download the bios file.

              how many Bios chips does the mainboard have? what is the capacity of the Bios chips?

                  hello, okay then I did it right! I have a total of 3 bios chips. 1x vbios nvidia! 1x normal bios and 1x I think bios backup?!? Unfortunately, it is still not on! is strange! vllt I have taken the wrong? is there a backup chip or is there something else on it?

                      what are the models of the main Bios chip and the backup Bios chip?
                      are you sure the problem is related to Bios? what are the problem symptoms?

                          The bios downloads from asus are only 6MB, they`re bios updates for the "main" bios.The original bios is 8MB. If you have a backup of the original bios post it here.

                              Hello sorry I'm just home! So there are 2 bios chips from winbond 1x 25Q64FVS1Q (the top)
                              and
                              25Q80DVS1G (the lower one)

                              initially the notebook was still on but the cpu and gpu remained cold and there was no picture! after I have deleted the chip and new bios have packed on it is nothing more, no picture no led no power!

                              Does anyone have a solution for me?! I'm desperate

                                              Since you said the CPU is cold, the problem is probably related to power rails. But I hope it is not, because there is no schematics/boardview available so that repairing it will be really difficult and time consuming.
                                              Probably, someone has got this Bios dump and will upload it here for you.

                                              I recommend you fix the Bios first. then, you can continue fixing power problems if there is any.

                                                      what is the SIO chip's ID on this mainboard?
                                                      have you found any flash chip for EC firmware and have you erased it?

                                                          So I only have the 2 chips from Winbond! I take that that is a EC chip? or is the EC on an SIO chip? Unfortunately, I deleted both chips from Winbond! and now it does not make any noise No Power! I dont find the bi bios only the main bios! by ************ o Vina

                                                                  If it is a Bios problem, at least the power LED should be on. Now find the model of the SIO chip on the mainboard.
                                                                  I hope someone upload a bios dump of this laptop here soon.
                                                                  I recommend you do not do any repair on this laptop before finding a Bios dump, because the problems may get worse.

                                                                      I will test this tonight and report! do I have to adjust the files yet? or can I use it this way?

                                                                          Do not program the EC firmware for now. first program the main Bios only. then, you can think of more repair if there was any problem.
                                                                          If the main Bios is 8 Megabytes , it probably needs no adjustment. you can upload it here so that other technicians can check it.

                                                                                  With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

                                                                                  For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

                                                                                  I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

                                                                                  I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
                                                                                  The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
                                                                                  Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

                                                                                  Usually on ASUS boards it worked...

                                                                                  The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                                                                  Suspected Cause:
                                                                                  I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
