Same result, CAPS&NUM lock blinking 5 times, followed by fast fan spin.
You should find the hardware cause.

So you don't think my issue is Bios related? I went this was as the machine code indicates it.

Re: Need bios hp probook 430 G4

        Hey. A quick update.

I found a couple of places where the solder was eaten away but the pads and legs were intact, so I replaced the solder, used my "fixed" file, and tried to boot it.
I got the same keyboard blinking code, but this time, after it played out, the machine posted.

The backlight isn't working, but I can see the HP logo using a flashlight. I don't have a compatible screen to test it out and can't seem to find a schematic/boardview compatible.

I also found that the USB3 controller has a hole. I removed it and the machine still posts.

I will be looking for a schematic or boardview to try and solve the backlight.

Even though my first guess wasn't right, I at least managed to clean my own ME region and it seems to work, so it wasn't a waste of time. Thank you to the ones that tried to help.

I will post any news on the repair of this machine.

Hi. Thank you so much for your support. It was nice to know that my bios fix was properly done, this will be very useful for future projects. It boots with Manufacturer mode ON, but I know how to solve this.

I have fixed the issue with the display. it ended up being the 0ohm resistor (R7725) in the +VIN_BLIGHT_L line.

The ic that was found with a hole (CYPD4125-40LQXIT) is actually the USBC controller (not USB3). I managed to find it for delivery, but not nearby and I couldn't find a compatible ic reference so I'll go with what I found. I am still going to measure the lines on this ic socket to prevent the same issue burns the second ic.

Once again thank you for leading me in the right direction.

Re: HP 430 G4 bios issue help

When I got this laptop bios had already flashed but was in MPM unlock stage. So I updated product data on that file. I attach it as old.bin

and the other file is currently working file which generated from ME tools.

Re: HP 430 G4 bios issue help

I used hex editor to edit the bin file.

And then flashed the file using Ch431a programmer.

                      It worked like a charm

I tried the bios fixed but the yellow led of the dc power connector flashes continuously and the notebook does not turn on, when I disconnect the dc connector the power on led on the button flashes for one second

I'm a little confused, why his original file is (P85) and your file is (P91)?
