hi, it turns on but the screen is black, I also tried the external screen, I received this notebook already seen by others, who worked on the bios, I found the chip unsoldered and with a broken pin, I did the bekup but it's not the one they copied a downloaded file from the original, so the DMI was lost, I looked in the guide but I couldn't find how to rebuild the DMI, instead of the chip another chip was soldered which has the same bekup, while I was doing some tests I noticed that the CPU and GPU were heating up quite a bit and at the same time the Acer logo appeared on the screen. After turning...

I have a question regarding the DMI of a bios
Hi everyone, when I do a backup of a bios I realize that the DMI no longer exists because someone worked on the notebook copying a new bios, so the old one complete with DMI no longer exists, it is possible to reconstruct it with the data on the cover and copy them on a new bios, thanks
I also ask you if the lack of DMI in the bios can prevent the notebook from turning on?
in which cases is it advisable or necessary to clean a new bios before copying it?
Thanks againLast edited by poweron; 07-09-2024, 03:39 AM.

the problem is this: it turns on but the screen is black and the fan starts to spin at maximum after 10 seconds

hi, on this model there are two bios chips, one is winbond 25Q64 FV and the other is MXIC 25L12873 FZNI one of the two is perhaps for the micro EC? I'll send the two copies thanks

acer travel mate P2510 it turns itself off suddenly
hi, sometimes it struggles for the video to appear and then it turns off, other times it loads the system then suddenly turns off, it has an integrated RAM and I think it's the one causing the problems, is there a way to exclude it from the bios?
Thank you...

Re: kbc programmer
how can you see if the EC region is included in a bios...for example when in the various posts I find that the bios+EC file is published the EC part must be flashed together with the bios or separately or it must be inserted with a programmer for KBC, please excuse my ignorance

Re: acer E5-571-51H2 / i5-5200U no boot
hello, could the cause of the malfunction be the fact that I have not entered the DMI region in the bios that I flashed?
the problem is that i can't recover the original DMI anymore because by mistake i didn't save the original bios.
Is there another way to get the DMI?
Thank you

Re: acer E5-571-51H2 / i5-5200U no boot
hello, I did some tests, I turn on the notebook and the acer logo appears which always remains fixed, it is not possible to enter the bios by pressing f2, by pressing esc a text appears that summarizes the bios ram cpu data etc., then under a message that invites you to press f2 to enter setup, I pressed , the message disappears but does not enter setup and remains so, after 5 minutes it entered setup, and so every time I turn it off and on again the same thing...

Re: acer E5-571-51H2 / i5-5200U no boot
yes, in fact, I had noticed a small area with a little oxidation but the components do not seem to be affected
it won't turn off it stays stuck on the logo
window won't start on battery only

acer E5-571-51H2 / i5-5200U no boot
hello, I have this acer mod: Z5WAH LA-B161P snid:50604455634 which gets stuck on the acer logo when turned on, I tried to reprogram the bios with the original one posted by Peste but it doesn't change the result, unfortunately due to inattention I didn't save the old bios so I didn't the dump, however I think the problem is not the bios but something else, I ask for your help, thanks
