You do not need key generator, modify lenovotranslateservice in IDA to accept any key

Thanks all, I managed to work out what I needed to do with driver injection and built my own patched firmware for the T440p with the help of the posts here.

I have modified by my self. And it working. Success to remove password x250. Just replace BE in hex editor into 00 according address on ida pro.

What issue? Turn off your laptop like it says. Then program eeprom using original dump.

read all conversation on this thread. you will be know it. and way to patch bios is different between all generation. newest generation use special way.

for a few days, I have been reading your posts and I have succeeded on different models.

T460s: OK (with button below) unlock password and computrace.
T440: Ok unlock password.

But I do not arrive on T460.
2x5 Beeps and no display (Black screen and off) with or without button, no boot.

Should we correct Rsa key and TCPABIOS.
No exist in T460 ??

I tried to Mod the T440 with advanced menu, whitelist etc ...
2x5 beep too but start.

I tried to correct checksum (like insanelymac) but at the last step black screen
(key starts with 12 04 and ends with 01 03 FF and is after the TCPABBLK block).

I provided the dump.
If someone can explain to me how to sign the bios.

There was a nice tutorial somewhere about signing. Maybe it was in the bios-mods forums. Had to do it on my W541 after modding. Succeeded after third attempt because of stupid mistakes
