    Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH UEFI Update went wrong

    Hi guys.

    I am very new to this business and i have some questions. Maybe someone can help me further.

    I have a 2015 Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH and for some internet and office the computer works perfectly. Lately it has been bugging me a bit on and off. Then I saw there is a UEFI update from Intel and I thought if I put it on, the problems might be gone, but unfortunately the update didn't go through. The screen stayed black and after waiting for a while nothing happened, I had to pull the plug at some point. Of course, the NUC then failed to boot!

    So I borrowed a CH341A programmer from a friend and with the help of Google and YouTube I´ve created a dump of the UEFI with NeoProgrammer. Next i wanted to download the UEFI from the Intel Site, but I only get a .bio file and as far as I found out, I need an .img file? Where do I get the .img file from? Or is it possible to convert the .bio file into an .img file? Or what is the best way to proceed next? Is there any hope at all to bring the NUC back to life?

    I found a UEFI in this thread that might fit my NUC, but it had an i5 in it and I have an i3. Can I just flash the UEFI to my NUC?

          Yes, I´ve tried everything but the screen stays black.

              I have now extracted the Me firmware from the UEFI dump and put it into the ME Analyzer. This then says that the file does not contain Intel ME firmware. I think that this is also the error. So how can I get the ME firmware into the UEFI so that I can flash it back?

              Attached in the zip file are the two original dumps from the NUC, once the complete UEFI dump and once the ME dump from it.

                  Have you used a clip to read the bios ?. The ME is locked in the flash descriptor. I`ll post a bios for you to try.The best way to flash it is to desolder the chip and use an adapter.

                      Wow, thanks a lot!!! I will try it tomorrow.

                      Yes, i used a clip to dump the UEFI, but i've read also, flash incircuit with the Clip is not a good idea and the chip have to be desoldered. But i thought, before i don't have a working UEFI, i don't desolder it.

                          i've being using this Cello tv, uk brand, C40rts, HK.T.RT2841P638 main board, for a year or more.
                          Last week i've found an update, 3rd party, that i though it was close to my board. Inserted on a usb stick the install.img, started the Firmware update, ended, rebooted and nothing. The led (red-green) keeps flashing, backlight is on but to response on remote.
                          I've retried with original fw, no success. Hooked the uart Cp2102, putty, tried to swuu command (to update from usb), it goes for a while the get "cpu reset" on laptop screen that brakes the process and halt....

                          Hello everybody!

                          To put you in context I recently replaced the battery from my HP Pavilion 15 bc400ns with a used one, everything was going good. The same day, I decided to update the BIOS, everything went good. The thing occurred after I let the battery drain iddling on Windows 11 for the second time to calibrate it that the screen did not turn on again, the computer was on but the screen did not turn, like it would not wake from hibernation. I decided to restart the computer but got no video.

                          The thing is that I had installed TeamViewer and could log into the computer...

                          My daughter has accidentally managed to kill her Acer gaming desktop it has a blank screen after updating and when you press the power button the fans spin, light comes on and it makes 1 long and 1 short beep and no attempt to boot.

                          All basic troubleshooting has been done we replaced CPU, GPU and RAM from a working machine and no joy, I also noticed a post on here with the same issue and it was the BIOS. I am pretty sure also because it was doing a BIOS update that stopped it working, she knocked the keyboard out by accident during the update and the screen just went...

                          Hello to everyone ,

                          This is my first post here, and i would like to share with you a small story in case you can help me.

                          Docker Type-C Gen 2 - Model 40AS. Was given to me by a friend for free ,but with the problem that you cannot use the video output ports.

                          All ports work , USB , Ethernet, Type C ... but HDMI + Display Port don't work

                          I searched on reddit and google for problem similar to that, and a LOT of people had fixed this problem by updating the firmware. So i tried , i searched and found 1.1.13 utility and 1.1.20 utility that can help...

                          i know a tool https://github.com/MuertoGB/MacEfiToolkit is capable of SN change and Clean ME but not updating EFI Version of the BIN file. is there a guide or a BIOS structure to update the firmware??...
