    Can someone inject what is needed into my bios file? As I am not having much luck with it. You can download my dumped bios flash file using link below;

    https://www.mediafire.com/file/5n51f...flash.rar/file

My first attempt to do it, after i flashed it back to machine all I get is a black screen and a number of beeps repeated before machine then shuts off again.

There is a small switch on the motherboard, should be next to internal battery connector. Press it and hold it down while you are using patched bios.

Had the same issue with X260 today, almost gave up but that switch just had to be pressed.

Laptop might restart several times, that is normal.

SO 4th Gen you need to replace 2 dxe drivers and for 5,6,7,8 gen you need to replace 3 dxe drivers?
is this good or did i not understood?

For 4 and 5 gen I replaced 3 files - LenovoTranslateService, BootOptions and SystemPpisNeededByDxe.

For 6th gen I used LenovoTranslateService and BootOptions. Just in case replaced Fingerprint scanner driver aswell because it was mentioned in an earlier post. Have not tried just using 2 files yet.

No, it is not the same. But forget about the fingerprint scanner driver. For 4th gen you need just those 3 files.

I modified LenovoTranslateService file so there is no need for a generator. I don't have a generator.

Ok, I see the little switch down near the internal battery. The only thing I replaced in the bios was the TranslateService, I wasn't sure what else to replace (or where to find things such as BootOptions etc).

Anyone able to patch my BIOS file?

I still get the 5 beeps and using the button didn't help. I'll look into it further when time permits.

Yes, that's the one I tried. I replaced the 2 of the 3 items from within that to my bios but after powering on with that bios it gives 5 beeps a couple of times and machine powers off.

I tried using the button internally and no change.

Hi, i have an ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS board, which had an shorted Z590 chipset. I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.

For lower chipset families (on ASUS boards) it worked to program the oldest bios version into the SPI rom, and the bios had activated the Management Engine itself by default - there was a message on the screen prior booting - "BIOS is updating Management Engine ..... . Hey guys,

Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.

Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

                                            From what I've...

Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH UEFI Update went wrong
                                            by S70rm7r00p3r
                                            Hi guys.

I am very new to this business and i have some questions. Maybe someone can help me further.

I have a 2015 Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH and for some internet and office the computer works perfectly. Lately it has been bugging me a bit on and off. Then I saw there is a UEFI update from Intel and I thought if I put it on, the problems might be gone, but unfortunately the update didn't go through. The screen stayed black and after waiting for a while nothing happened, I had to pull the plug at some point. Of course, the NUC then failed to boot!

                                            ...

                                            by hinsech475
Hi, I would appreciate your help with the following problem.

I have a Fujitsu laptop AH562 witn a BIOS-UEFI problem since I converted the HDD to a SSD. For more details on the paltop go to the following link:

                                            http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Port...srch=TECHSPECS

After copying the HDD to SSD with ALtiris utility provided with the Kingston SSD and replacing the HDD with the SSD the laptop went into a startup loop with no screen display and only the disk LED flashing twice per second. I waited for approximatly 2h and then stopped the laptop...
