Re: Thinkpad l560 bios bin
Hello,
On attached BIOS laptop won't turn. There is just black screen.
I tried cleaning ME, but situation was same.
I tried also other dump from forum (this one: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...32&postcount=2) with clean ME, laptop works, but my idea of changing MAC adres didn't work out, as maybe something more require to be changed?
I found MAC here:
00829A40 as FE 45 96 FF FE 69 1D 30
00001000 and 00002000 as FC 45 96 69 1D 30
8025F4 and 8299F4 as 46 00 43 00 34 00 35 00 39 00 36 00 (or FC4596691D30)
In HEX it looks like normal DOT's but it isn't.
I've tried changing ME region into Consumer and Corporate, but still LAN card is visible as unable to switch on.Attached Files

It's other BIOS version or other ME region?
I found at this link there is in HEX 0088F200 Windows KEY.
I neet to transfer my one. Do you think it's just about to copy 0088F200 - 0088F260 to add key to bios?
Thanks

I was looking that newest BIOS hide CD-KEY, maybe it's necessary to downgrade BIOS to older version and then add key or this operation require to change bigger part of BIOS.
i've tried downgrade BIOS to 1.42 (in such i see KEY, but 1,57 start hiding keys).
edit:
i found also at 0019BDC0 somethink about WIN key. Need to analyze WIN and NON-WIN BIOS...Last edited by rbvndonh; 05-22-2022, 01:56 PM.

Re: Thinkpad l560 bios bin
I compare Bios with OK LAN and NOT OK LAN in Lenovo Diagnostic Tool.
Looks like there is other index / slot of PCIe, so maybe BIOS is adressing wrong hardware?
EDIT:
Fond this possile to change in FIT, attached pic.
will change and maybe will work.
EDIT2:
After changed in FIT PORT5 to PORT3 LAN work again
Thank you for all hints and support!Last edited by rbvndonh; 05-23-2022, 12:46 PM.
