Hello everyone,i have a DEll vostro 3460 with no screen, just the fan spinning. I tried with another one , working, just no keyboard and the fan very loud and maximum spin rotating. Here my old faulty bios.

Everything is works fine , just its show the bios its DELL Latitude E5420.
Is it possible to rewrite the serial number and model name inside?

Yes You right Vesko, inspiron model, had too much E5420 and E5530 with broken hinges, thats why automatically wrote the latitude

Oh yes, unusual for the Latitude series the hinges of these models are pretty bad to say the least. And the left one breaks first

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hi, I have a problem while updating the bios 1.27.0. After that the display went off & the bios states as Dell Inspiron 3505 in the F2 boot > bios > Device when I plug into a secondary monitor. As I don't have any experience in bios, request you to please help me to flash the Vostro bios as they share the common motherboard (GDI53 LA-K037P).

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.
The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.
