Won't boot when bios settings are saved

Good Day. I've got an old MSi laptop here not sure whats the model though. Anyway, the problem is it won't boot if bios changes are saved. I can boot the laptop if I remove cmos battery or short the jumper to reset the settings.

Now if I try to save settings like date or time and then reboot, It will power but will not post or display anything. If I want to boot it again, all I have to do is reset bios settings. Does it has something to do with the bios chip? I'm a little bit puzzled here. Thanks everyone.

I don't know the model of this one. all stickers and labels are unreadable. I'm searching for online photos of MSI notebooks and see if its the right one.

Now I remember, I had this exact model before only different color. Its an S262 from MSI. I will try to replace bios chip and update asap.

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
            by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

            1) Error trying to enter the BIOS
--> [F2] won't let me enter the BIOS. To enter the BIOS, I had to create a shortcut and then type C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /r /fw /t 1 in the destination. This forced it to restart and enter the BIOS.
Once inside, I went to the BOOT menu, but, surprise, it wasn't there. I got the following message:

            BOOT PRIORITY ORDER (img-05)
            1- Windows Boot Manager
            2- SATA HDD
            3- NETWORK

            2) Error trying to access the BOOT MENU
--> I restarted the notebook and pressed [F10] but the BOOT...

            What's not working right?
The system does not even POST, display is black,
LEDs on - power led, aiplane mode, capslock fpr few seconds in the start(when connected to ac power) only.

            When did the problem happen?
My laptop had dual boot setup, ubuntu and windows 10.
It already had a moklist error, that would occur when i tried to boot ubuntu.

Hi, I have a few of these & they came with a custom bios boot logo, no passwords etc.

2 x were brand new unused but with custom boot logo, 1 I installed Windows/ran updates then it bricked itself. 1 wouldn't get past the custom bios boot logo.

The third I loaded windows, took a backup of the bios chip, then tried to flash several different clean bios's via programmer which all caused it to not boot. I tried to reflash the original bios both using clip & desoldering but...
