Hello, I wanted to update my laptop's BIOS from h1et40ww to h9et92ww. The website says I need to install h9et75ww first, so I tried installing that version first, but the installation failed and when I press the power button, the laptop momentarily turns on and off (the power light immediately flashes). I tried the crisis files with Fn+R but they didn't work (it works for about 30 seconds with Fn+R but nothing displays on the screen). How can I get a BIOS update file that I can use with Fn+R? Maybe I'm naming the files I put on the USB drive incorrectly. The ones I've tried are bios.bin, bios.cap, bios.wph, bios.fd. Has anyone else had this issue and know a solution? By the way, the crisis folder is inside the h9et75ww update. I don't have the original h1et40ww update.

I've done some testing. What I noticed is that when I remove the RAM and turn on the laptop, it doesn't shut down. However, since the RAM isn't installed, there's no display. Could it be that the BIOS isn't recognizing the RAM?
I would be very happy if you could help me.Comment

post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..
The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

By the way, I'm sure the original version is h1et40ww, but the content of the backup I took said 84ww, I think. I couldn't find the h1et40ww version anywhereComment

If the original is h1et40ww then only h1et** versions should be used.

Thanks for your answer. But I tried the bin files of versions h1et84 and 85. I loaded it into the chip with ch341a. The good news is that the computer no longer turns off when I press the power button. The bad news is that there is no image on the screen. Another thing I noticed is that the fan starts up and once it stops, it continues to run. I think I need to install an older bios version (63ww, 69ww, 75ww) but I can't find it. Could the bios version I installed be incompatible with the ec version running on h1et40ww.Comment

This is the latest bios version I installed. Is there an error in the file that's why I'm stuck on the black screen? Do I need to edit the file or something?Attached FilesComment

I'm sorry if my constant texting seems like spam, but this is the EC file I got from the 4 megabyte chip. I don't know if it will be of any use.Attached FilesComment

It didn't work. When I installed the 73ww you gave me, the computer didn't respond at all. The version number is not written in the content either. I think I need both the bios file and the ec file. If anyone has it on the forum, I would be happy if they shared it.Comment

The solution was right in front of my eyes here. I solved the problem with a file I downloaded from this topic. It contained the bios and ec file and when I uploaded both, the problem was solved. Thanks for your interest and help.

Hello,
I have a Lenovo Legion S7 15ACH6 that was interrupted during a BIOS update and is now bricked. Symptoms: fans spin, RGB keyboard lights up, but no display/POST.
The BIOS chip is a Gigadevice GD25LR128. I’m using a CH341A with a 1.8 V adapter. In AsProgrammer I selected GD25Q128 (since GD25LR128 isn’t listed) and successfully made a dump (BiosDump2_pf3eg12j.rar).
My understanding is that I’ll need a known good BIOS dump for this exact model, ideally matched to my laptop’s serial number (PF3EG12J), and that the Windows license key/serial should also...-

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

by keropiHello!
yesterday I received from eBay a Lenovo M92p TINY model 3238 system with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB mechanical HDD.
I tested it and it worked fine, it booted to a fresh Win10 x64 French OS .
The plan was to replace the mechanical HDD with an SDD one and upgrade RAM to the max 16GB since I had 2x 8GB SODIMM modules.
I noticed that there was an update on the Lenovo support site so I thought I'd do that first and then proceed with the upgrades and installation of new OS.
The windows BIOS update completed successfully and the system booted to a bios-like...-

I was having issues with this particular laptop where the NVME SSD would disappear and would not detect unless I took it out and reconnected it, then it would detect for only for a minute then disappear from BIOS. I figured updating the BIOS was worth a try so I booted into my HBCD USB and downloaded the latest BIOS file for that exact model. I ran the executable and everything went smooth, it beeped and then when it restarted, now it won't post, just black screen with fan spinning.
I already have a CH341A programmer...-
