Asus GL553V Keyboard Not Working except power button
I have a strange problem with this Asus ROG GL553V. Only the power button works with LED but the rest of the keyboard is unresponsive even in BIOS. I checked the cables and tried a different keyboard and same issue. I never had a laptop do this before so this is weird. I ruled out it being a bad keyboard so it’s clearly the motherboard. The fact that the power button (that’s part of the KB) works is an indicator.
I tried updating BIOS but it’s already updated to version 308. Is this a firmware thing that I could update? I tried looking up the “Asus Keyboard programmer tool”... -
Anyone? I really want to get this thing working. No one else has any other modified BIOS files for this model I can try?Leave a comment:

I just don't know why the two modified BIOS aren't working. I think it's disabling both the onboard RAM and the only DIMM slot too....Leave a comment:

Is there any other BIOS hacks I can use with my CH341A? I don't have the soldering skills for parts that small yet....Leave a comment:

Is there anything else I can do? I really don't want to replace the motherboard if there's a way to simply turn off that RAM.Leave a comment:

Sorry for double post, it's not letting me edit my post. The original bios works but I still need the onboard RAM disabled.Leave a comment:

That one didn't work either it doesn't post. I put back the original unmodified (with RAM enabled) and it works....Leave a comment:

Tried it and now it doesn't POST. Added various RAM sticks that were working in other systems including this one before the flashing. Turns on but no display no matter what....Leave a comment:

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 laptop with bad integrated RAM that's causing random memory_management BSOD's and freezing. Is there a way to disabled onboard ram so I can put a regular stick on it?
