Asus ROG Ally X -RC72LA - changed hidden bios settings with 'Smokeless-UMAF', won't get past boot logo

ASUS ROG Ally X - (Handheld Gaming PC)
    Model No: RC72LA
    Serial No: SBNVKD001014459

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For example, I changed 'USB4 Bus Reserved' from 96, 'USB4 IO reserved (KB) from 16, 'USB4 Non-Prefetch Memory Reserved' from 384 and 'USB4 - non-Prefetch MMIO align' from 64. I think I also changed USB4 ACPI _DEP Support. Since then it won't boot and sticks on the ROG logo despite resets/battery removal etc.

After finally getting to the point of having a (verified via md5) backup of my bad BIOS, taking the ASUS bios from their site and figuring out how to get it the right file size, I've got the two open in Tiny Hexer and on seeing how much differs between them I'm not confident what I need to copy from mine to the other to make sure all works ok without copying over whatever I broke and maintaining as full a functionality as possible. For example I've read about issues with ASUS cloud restore with a bad bios and I'll likely need to use it after this, and I stumbled across lines in the bios dump mentioning cloud certificates or something similar, so I don't want to make it worse.... I'm feeling a bit 'in too deep'!

I've attached my backup of the bad Bios - from what I gather the serial, win key, and I'm assuming other bits of info I can see in it like cloud recovery certificates etc. all get transplanted to the ASUS bios? Is this the 'DMI' I'm trying to wrap my head around?

Also attached is the altered ASUS bios to correct the file size, removing the first 2KB from the original file. This was downloaded from their site and edited by me in Tiny Hexer. I've put in the untouched bios also.

    Thank you for your help

Thanks for your help - I've tried flashing this a few times but it keeps failing to verify, the error is repeatedly: "Verification error on address: 0x01000010, Device: 0x00, Buffer: 0x78"

I thought it was just bad contact with the chip, but it's failed at that exact point multiple times now?

Lenovo m90q gen 4 hidden BIOS settings.
          by Hinkz
          Hello All,

          I recently upgraded my Lenovo m920q to a m90q gen4 (13th gen intel).

I had much success following some very helpful guides on unpacking the m920q BIOS that Lenovo had on their website to find out hidden options such as cfg lock & overclocking lock, then using grub to change these settings.

I'm having much less success with the m90q gen4 and latest BIOS on the Lenovo website (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/dow...tation-p3-tiny), when I unpack this BIOS and use UEFITool to browse its contents I can't seem...

          Asus Ally rc71l bios
          by chudofermer
          Hello!

Received Asus Ally rc71l with the wrong bios.
Have the original package and all serial numbers.

Can anyone help me understand what is wrong?

          Condition:
Received with an original box with all serial numbers
Due to the bios updating, something went wrong and I can not check in the bios. The recovery mode sometimes appears, usually was stopped on the logo.
Got the flash dump, nothing found on DMI section
No Windows key, just key ID on the box

          What is done:
          1. Flash the latest bios version with serial numbers...

Asus BIOS How To Reset To Default Settings?
          by YG007
Hello... Where do I start. I have 2 questions/scenarios that might bring this laptop back to life, so here it goes!

I have this laptop (Asus UX52VS) where I was flashing the BIOS to it and it froze during the process. I didn't have a reliable BIOS chip programmer at the time (It was a CH341A USB Programmer from Amazon where it took hours just to get the clamp on the chip and then every time I read, it gave me different results/corruption, and never would pass the verify test as no 2 reads were the same data), so I brought it to a shop. They had it for almost 2 months, but during...
