    HP VICTUS 16-r00**** LA-M787P

Hi! First of all, I want to say that I have read the rules and followed the procedures, but I haven't been able to fix the issue.

Let me explain my problem: I have an HP VICTUS 16-r0028ns, motherboard model LA-M787P, serial number CND3221BF1. The laptop had a short circuit on the motherboard, and after repairing it, I connected the power cable. The fans would spin, but the screen wouldn't turn on, and nothing happened. Then, the laptop would shut down again.

The device came from another repair service, I decided to replace the BIOS. I went to HP's official website and tried both BIOS options available. From that moment on, the laptop stopped working completely—it only turns on the power LED, and the Caps Lock key blinks once before all keyboard LEDs turn off.

After that, I reflashed the original BIOS, but the problem remained. Now, not even the fans spin—same issue as with the official BIOS.

So, I decided to clean the ME region using the FIT tool, but the problem persists. The power consumption is around 0.06 - 0.08 A, and all voltage lines seem to be correct.

I don't know what else to do. I'm attaching the original BIOS because I think I might be doing something wrong.

    Thank you very much.

          Hello
Thank you very much and sorry for the mistake of posting where it didn't belong.
I wrote bios post #2 with my DMI and now it turns on, but after a minute it turns off by itself.
I suspect the GPU or CPU will also fail

Now i think it may be the EC.
When connecting a mouse and a keyboard via USB I have been able to verify that it does not turn off but loses the image and the power LED turns off (on the power key, on the keyboard) but remains on. The power key no longer works until I remove the power and the battery.
I think it may be the EC since the keyboard is controlled by the EC.
              I attach the EC file.

              EC CHIP: UV4 W25Q16JW

Can you provide me with a valid ec file for HP VICTUS 16-R0019NS

That isn`t the EC, it`s the Nvidia vBios

I have written the ec by doing the following:

First I have written an older version of the bios using the TL866 II PLUS programmer

Then I have created a USB with the latest version of the bios and the ec using the file downloaded from the HP website (I attach the file for anyone who may need it)

And finally I have installed the latest bios and the latest EC firmware with the USB by pressing Windows + B when turning on.

After this I thought it was already solved because I have left it on the bios screen for a long while and it did not lose image when before it failed in less than 5 minutes.

But later I tried to install Windows 11 and everything was fine but there came a time when it started to lose the image and recover it.

In short, it has failed again. It has taken longer and it does not lose the image radically as before nor does the power key LED turn off permanently but flashes but fails.

I wonder if anyone knows if re-soldering the EC chip pins can definitively solve the problem.
Or if it will be necessary to change the chip.

These are the original bios that we find on the site. I had already tried. Maybe the password is not in the bios chip?

I just tested post 2 and it works I no longer have a password, I think the back cover was not the right one so the serial number was not the right one.

I have an error message stuck in manufacturing, do you have a simple solution for this?

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                                  by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                                  by Wahaz
                                  Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

                                  Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...
