    Lenovo Thinkpad P50 Bios Corrupted

Hello, it seems to me that my thinkpad P50's BIOS is corrupted. I tried to boot it up and the power button would only blink 3 times green. The serial number is missing from the bottom of the chassis so I'm not sure what to do. I hope it's not the motherboard that's broken...

Update: I seem to have made marginal progress. When I boot it without RAM it beeps 1 3 3 1 times, without RAM the fans and keyboard just turn on then off after a few seconds.

After replugging the CMOS battery and the switch next to it, I am glad to say that the BIOS file worked. Thank you so much, you just made my day.

          Hello,

I've been trying to remove the BIOS Password from my Thinkpad P50, and I have tried to use the autopatcher provided in this forum, however it doesn't seem to work. When I flash the autopatched BIOS to the computer it just beeps 5 times twice then turns off. I've made sure to detach the CMOS battery and held the tamper switch down with tape so I'm not sure what else I can do. One thing I did notice is that when I use my CH341A to verify the hex code for either patched or unpatched BIOSes it seems to mismatch after trying to boot; I assume that's the BIOS self healing? Whenever I flash the original BIOS the computer works as expected. I've attached my original BIOS, the autopatched version, and a screenshot of when I boot with the original BIOS. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I'm requesting the bios for my P50. I messed up badly after an Ubuntu Studio install/update and now when I hit the power button it just flashes the keyboard lights briefly, and does nothing else. No post, fans or screen. I searched the forum and found other firmware posted, but I'm not sure they're compatible. Thanks for any help!

Hi, I'm a complete noob to bios hacking, have just received a CH341A today and will try to extract the corrupted (?) bios tomorrow, hopefully. Will this help?

                Hi again!

I managed to connect the CH341 and read the bios. Attached is the file.
