I've been trying to remove the BIOS Password from my Thinkpad P50, and I have tried to use the autopatcher provided in this forum, however it doesn't seem to work. When I flash the autopatched BIOS to the computer it just beeps 5 times twice then turns off. I've made sure to detach the CMOS battery and held the tamper switch down with tape so I'm not sure what else I can do. One thing I did notice is that when I use my CH341A to verify the hex code for either patched or unpatched BIOSes it seems to mismatch after trying to boot; I assume that's the BIOS self healing? Whenever...

After replugging the CMOS battery and the switch next to it, I am glad to say that the BIOS file worked. Thank you so much, you just made my day....

Update: I seem to have made marginal progress. When I boot it without RAM it beeps 1 3 3 1 times, without RAM the fans and keyboard just turn on then off after a few seconds.

Lenovo Thinkpad P50 Bios Corrupted
Hello, it seems to me that my thinkpad P50's BIOS is corrupted. I tried to boot it up and the power button would only blink 3 times green. The serial number is missing from the bottom of the chassis so I'm not sure what to do. I hope it's not the motherboard that's broken......
