Hello. Ive got problem with Dell Vostro 3420. After power on, no display . Standard job, I exported a clean bios from update via pfs extract.
Steps i done and results:
I exported a clean bios from update file via pfs extract.
1. Build clean bios with clean ME, PMC, PCH in flash image tool.
Result: Dead
2. Build clean bios with no changes in ME, new PMC, PCH
Result: Dead
3. Build old bios with clean ME, new PMC, PCH
Result: The same

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
I have a Dell XPS-15 (9520) with the LA-L402P motherboard. It seems to have bricked itself after a common BIOS-Firmware upgrade. Now, it just shows BIOS screen for a few seconds before turning-itself back Off (and doesn't seem to be fully Posting). I've done these many times before with no problems.

A client brought me their Dell Inspiron 3471 desktop after they shutdown the computer in the middle of it performing a BIOS update. They somehow believed that the BIOS update process was "fake" and so they shut it down even though the BIOS update flash screen told them DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER. They did it anyway and of course that corrupted the BIOS. The computer still turns on and it does attempt to go through BIOS Recovery, but it fails and loops back to the beginning. All other options to recover also do not work.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
