Mac upgrading from Ventura to Sonoma with activation bypass

I've got a MacBook Air 2018 that was activation locked.
I've used an online service to bypass the activation and was able to sign in to iCloud. If you power off the MacBook and restart, it will be activation locked again.

However, I've just upgraded it from Ventura to Sonoma and after completion, the activation screen came up.
To my surprise, this prompts for my Apple email ID and password.
Once entered, the MacBook is fully activated and powering off and on works absolutely fine.

Can someone else try this to see if it works for them too please?

Apple MacBook Pro A2141 16" IC BYPASS
            by oxonater
Hi everyone hope all are well

I need a little expert advice on a issue I have and seeing as this forum is full of clever people I thought ask here as you never know.
I recently repaired a logic board 820-01700 which belongs to a 16" 2019 Macbook Pro, however I seem to be missing a component near the T2 Rom chip and is U4730.

The schematics say this chip is (M34128-FCS6_P/T) and it also says there is a bypass for it wondered if anyone come across either the IC or the bypass method.
I suppose it's worth noting googling the part package brings up various...

            Macbook Pro a1990 activation locked
            by falcontech
            Hi,
I received a 2018 MacBook Pro A1990 for repair, and the motherboard was replaced, presumably purchased on AliExpress. The motherboard's activation is blocked because the previous owner didn't delete it. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I called Apple, and as expected, they asked me to activate the process with proof of purchase for the original computer, which I find very difficult, so the proof of purchase from AliExpress will be of little use. Any suggestions? Thanks.

            Macbook Pro DFU Restore Issues
            by Flasman90
I have a 2020 Macbook Pro A2289 and after many attempts managed to get it into DFU mode, using my older 2017 A1706 Macbook Pro (Running Ventura 13.7.8). However, when attempting 'Restore', it fails at step 4 of 4, showing the following error:

            - "The operation couldn’t be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error -1 - Failed to handle message type StatusMsg (Generic error)) [AMRestoreErrorDomain – 0xA (10)]
            - "The system cannot be restored on this device. Failed to create new state machine for restore [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore - 0xFB1 (4017)]
