Hi
Sounds silly but do you have the correct BMU flex had a few issues myself in the past with these (even new ones supplied by Apple)
Make sure there is a good connection failing this I/O boards could also be and issue have you tried all 4 ports with same result ?

kevingillkevingill Just to confirm that little IC I replaced from an ICLOUD board and all seems fine so not programmed to work with original board thanks for your help on this mate oxy.😎👍

Hi thanks for the response, not sure to be honest the schematics give no clue, I have a spare board which was icloud locked changed serial an after the latest Ibridge won't now activate so can use the IC from that.
Hard to say these are paired with board but guess there's only one way to find out thanks again with your help OXY 👍.

Apple MacBook Pro A2141 16" IC BYPASS
Hi everyone hope all are well
I need a little expert advice on a issue I have and seeing as this forum is full of clever people I thought ask here as you never know.
I recently repaired a logic board 820-01700 which belongs to a 16" 2019 Macbook Pro, however I seem to be missing a component near the T2 Rom chip and is U4730.
The schematics say this chip is (M34128-FCS6_P/T) and it also says there is a bypass for it wondered if anyone come across either the IC or the bypass method.
I suppose it's worth noting googling the part package brings up various...

Hi peops well has anyone heard of the news which relates to GOFETCH, apparently this can infiltrate the silicon cpu coding and exploit it.
Now I wonder if this enables serial number extraction and implementation ??
Just my 2 pence

Measured PPDCIN_USBC_AON and coming out on meter as 5.14v
Also note that CC721 PPBUS_AON_3V3S2_VIN_ISNS is shorted to ground in continuity mode

Hi thanx for the response
Board is 820- 2020 which is m1 13"
Voltage from the meter now just bare board is
5.11v
0.001A
00005mA0000
was booting and that before I decided to remove components.
was wondering if the source of the problem was u8100 I believe this controls the voltages.
Poss fighting a losing battle here though I do recall a electrical burn smell after realising what I had done such a fool.
we live an learn I suppose hopefully!
Thanks again Oxy...

Macbook Pro M1 13" NO display PP3V3_S2 issues
Hi peops
Ok I find myself on here once again trying to find a solution to my issue/problems with this device, basically I reckon I messed it up but trying to correct this issue.
Bascially device was working fine however I stupidly in my complete ignorance was putting back together and some how connected an M2 TRACKPAD which are clearly not compatiable. After I realised what I did the damage was done NO DISPLAY / No Keyboard caps lock light so I am like WTF I have i done idiot !!!!
After some scratching around I did some measuring and found that PP3V3_S2...

Thank OXY...

Hey peops
As above I don't think this method works with M1 as there is no serial saved in the ROM chip itself
Great tool though

Well yes the end goal is to retrieve the serial where ever this may be and then we all can perform the magic, sadly until that time has come we can only surmise !!...

Re: Unserialized M1 Pro
So this maybe were the serial is I bet, just need a reader of sorts

Re: Unserialized M1 Pro
Don't think that gonna make an iota of a difference, I am just guessing here but I posted months ago about a DFN chip situated left of CPU. Now this is near to the ROM on the underside of board and when looking at schematics it refers to some lines that go to CPU as SOCROM.
Anyone familiar with this abbreviation trying to find a reader as I have removed from a dodge board any points in the right direction will be greatly received !!

Re: Unserialized M1 Pro
Morning all
Ok so the serial is not stored in the ROM as my own tests have confirmed this, removed ROM from MDM M1 and placed on another M1 and after some errors (As need proper DFU mode for M1) device restored although App configurator says it fails nope it doesn't.
The device is booting into Sonoma an activated with the original serial even though it had another ROM from another machine with a supposed serial.
This concludes there must be another ROM chip located elsewhere which contains the info required I am only...

Re: Help needed: 2020 MacBook Pro M1 A2338 (keyboard and trackpad not working)
Motherboard issue for sure replaced a number of these for failing trackpad and keyboard, however on some instances it has been the top-case as it was telling the machine it was night night time which of course shuts down any ancillary components OXY !

Re: Unserialized M1 Pro
So is it stored in the usual place but encrypted, as the M1 based on ARM architecture it must use some other method of being able to decrypt the bin to determine the serial. Only interested in the purpose of removing MDM an icloud at the mo

Re: Macbook M1 Unlocked!
Hey
The pic shown is firmware lock
Connect device to a host with Apple configurator get into DFU mode and restore
This will install the OS remove Firmware lock but you will only know if this device is free from ICLOUD or MDM locks when setting up new user space !!
