your laptop is HP ZBook Firefly 14 G7 Mobile Workstation, bios dump is identical with the one uploaded in thread for HP ZBook Firefly 14 G8 yet you named it different but you posted in wrong places. More like you and they will close bios section because of space occupied with redundant posts.

Post photo with the label contains DMI. SN from bios is wrong. Can't find on HP site. you didn't even bother the change the name of the dump: firefly14_g8_SN5CG1416V3H-1.bin check if you didn't change covers between them from G7 and G8.

you have a way to complicate things, I asked for photo with label containing DMI and you show me something i already know. Try typing SN on hp driver site and see what is happening ... You asked for help but you don't help us with infos required in order to help YOU.

everything corresponds with DMI from label but serial.

At 1st boot press F10 and RESET BIOS to factory defaults, save, restart and password will go on. After that enter in bios setup and in Main tab you have "set machine unique data" and write there what it's written on the label inside the cover. Or extract DMI from your bios dump:

Thanks that worked!
Initially CAPS LED was solid ON as with the G8 M/B yesterday.
I had to push the chip down while soldering it to the M/B to make contact, even though I used paste. I never had that problem with the 128 Winbond chips?

bad contacts happening all the time with WSON chipsets, I personally use a magnifier to check soldering, also I remake contacts with soldering iron before solder chipset with hot air.

Hi Thanks for that recommendation! I observed that some boards have solder over the entire copper contacts while some do not. Good advice thank you volinakis!

Hey! I have this exact same laptop and I've read this thread but I'm a bit lost. The laptop has 3 flash chips. One 25Q256 which I guess it's the bios and two others. From what I understood, the bios password is stored in one ot the others, which one is it? 25Q80DVIG or 25Q128JVPQ?
I guess after dumping the two required ones, for clearing the pass, you also need the DMI or how you call it (the sticker infomation written on the inside of the bottom lid) or in case I upload the 2nd flash chip dump, you just clear that one and I dont need to input the info from the sticker with the "ARIES MPM TOOL"?

Is there any post explaining the clear method being done here?
