I found the three areas (3C420-3C45F, 3D420-3D45F, 3CC20-3CC3F), which contained the password or part of it. I cleared with with 00 or FF and still get "SVP error" on boot. Can you share your knowledge from the last post please? I dont seem to understand.Comment

Hi, trying to erase the supervisor password on a ThinkPad L15 gen 1 as well.

Ah, sorry. I figured I could have done that right away. I compared the files and it seems, I dont have the list in the 3D620 range. Also, I should mention, I tried your "shorting method" without success before. Dont know if that might have corrupted some data.

Your "try2.bin" did not work. Did not boot. Possible due to bad SNAttached FilesComment

It's late at my place, not much time. I'll see tomorrow otherwiseAttached FilesComment

Edit: I am sorry for the confusion. I am fairly new to working with EC firmware. Without a battery plugged while trying to connect, the EC was recognized again. For me that is odd as the NPCE68APA was only working with SVOD4 with battery connected. I was able to flash your data succesfully now, but I still got "bad SVP data".

Bit of back story: laptop had "bottom cover tempered" error before playing with EC firmware. Do you think that is still in firmware hidden? And maybe is our problem?
Also I saw you provided a lot of files for other guys in this topic. It was nice to follow your process of thought on these. Did you ever get feedback from ppl that a removed pw section in EC firmware succesfully cleared the supervisor pw?Comment

I reviewed your file and saw that I made an error before and erased too little. Thank you for correcting my mistake!

search in the L14 subjects, I think it worked once.
This EC model is complicated and no one tries to clean it except me.
Shame.
I don't have time today but I'll try again if you want
NM-C741 NCPE68AP??
However, I managed to get this model on YouTube

Do you have experience with flashing a 'clean' EC file from a different SN laptop? Found clean EC file for a L14 i5 10th gen
Model# NM-C631 with NPCE68APA
I wasnt able to get it to boot with shorting. Always been stuck on logo.Comment

Do not want to spam, but more to share my findings.
Booting with your cleaned EC resulted in a different EC file. I read it again and it seems that the EC is alter in one of the pw spots
I tested the L14_clean_EC.bin and was able to boot, but "system configuration is invalid" is showing up everytime. I will try to rebuild my original file with the L14 one and give it a try.Comment

So far I've been a silent reader, but now I need your help
I bought a laptop. The seller said the bios was locked. I was looking for a way to remove this ban.
I then got the CH341A and pulled the corresponding files from here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...evices-and-ele...The laptop was brought in with a BIOS problem and a password. After reading the dump, the information was damaged. I ask for help in the BIOS with a clean ME region. Motherboard 213035-1. Serial number: PW+04e998, Type number: 21c3-0016ge -
by RMDUiFTGood day. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong topic. I saw somebody selling a Thinkpad E495 with a Ryzen 3500U CPU near me. In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
I have a few questions:- If I would buy this laptop and have

by akwkyHi!
Went dumpster-diving and found a bricked Lenovo P14S in trash, few weeks earlier. Symptoms - no screen, no POST, no beep, just keyboard LEDs flashing on powerup. Mute button+LED was responding though, and the display self-test was still working (via the key combo Ctrl+Fn+Power held for some seconds, see the Service manual).
Incidentally, Windows 11 have recently started auto-flashing computer BIOS in our region. Even more suspiciously, Lenovo has released a BIOS update just few days before the PC was trashed. About a week later, the BIOS update image has been oficially marked...04-14-2025, 01:56 PM -
by WahazHello,
I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....-

by maanee11Hello Everyone,
I have Thinkpad T560 Which has corrupted BIOS. I have acquired Ch341A SPI flasher to program the BIOS externally. I see that to program the BIOS, i need a bin file for the BIOS. I was able to extract the .exe file of BIOS from Lenovo given here in this link:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/p...me=BIOS%2FUEFI
In the extracted files, I see that BIOS containing file has extension .FL1 and I need to extract or convert it...-
