Hello everyone, and I hope someone can help me with this issue:
My ASUS laptop, model A412F with motherboard code X412FLC ver 2.1, freezes at the ASUS logo when I insert an M.2 SSD and try to power it on. However, when I remove the M.2 SSD, the laptop boots straight into the BIOS setup without freezing.
I have tried using several new SSDs, but the issue remains the same. The original SSD from the laptop works perfectly fine when installed in another computer.
Do you think the BIOS might be corrupted? I have tried using the BIOS version from line #13, but the problem still persists.
Can anyone help me fix the BIOS using the backup I've attached below?

With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.
I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.
The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.
Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website... -
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, but I'm not looking for a specific BIOS file, I'm trying to understand how one makes a clean BIOS file. So here's the background. I have 2 HP EliteDesk 800 g2 mini 35w pcs. One is working fine; the other doesn't have display out or working USB's nor does it have any flashing error lights. The CPU does get worm enough to cause the fan to spin up, so I think it's posting, but I just don't know. I had it working at one point but trouble started when I tried to put in a drive caddy that had a cooling fan on it. I thought it would be compatible but wasn't... -
