Re: Please Help. Asus F555U Wont work on new battery.
Thank you. Please consider to replace the charger IC as suggested above.
Lots of flux, enough hot air to melt the solder but low pressure so the parts do not go flying. Be patient and apply in circles over the top of the IC. Use tweezers to gently nudge and confirm the ic is able to move in the melted solder.Comment

by dhenionI'm working on my sister's laptop: Asus VivoBook F510UA-AH51 - The motherboard died so I replaced it.
The original board was:
ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 A
The replacement board is:
ASUS X510UNR REV 3.0 B (identical except B vs A - I couldn't find an A board anywhere. Visually they are identical.)
It boots right up on the replaced motherboard and everything works fine on the new motherboard - but it won't run off battery. When I disconnect the charger it immediately dies. When I plug it back in and reboot the system - it still shows the battery at...1 Photo -
by dhs6512Hello. Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05H, NM-D281 Rev: 1.0 board
Initially dead. Inspection: the board was not touched, on EC IT8227E-192 2101-CXA there is a mini-burnout.
Replaced with the same one, flashed the EC with the official firmware (had to solder to the pins), left the main firmware (Gigadevice 25LB128DSIG) original.
When connecting the charger, the device started, gave picture and works, checked all the functions - ok.
Connected the original battery. Only on the battery the device starts for a second, lights up the keyboard backlight and turns off.
When connecting... -
Hello everyone
I have been working on this laptop mentioned in the title, it initially had a shorted capacitor. After I replaced it, the thing started working again, but there is still another problem. The laptop was running off a charger, the battery was reporting 96% charge... but when I unplugged the charger, the laptop died. I've measured the battery voltage - 0V. I think it is locked. (Screenshot from batterymon, below).
I've ordered a new 3rd-party battery, but I think there's something wrong with it too - the laptop boots, but the battery isn't charging. Also,... -
by pabloroggeriGood guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.
The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button. Minutes before changing the battery it worked perfectly and stopped working after putting the new one in. Even if you put the oroginal battery in or connect it without the battery, no LED lights up when you press the power button nor does it give an image, nor does the... -
by dr.thodtHi,
I have an Asus GA401Q which only works from battery power. That suggests the board is mainly fine.
The battery status is 255%, also with a brand new battery.
The BQ24800 was replaced since it showed signs that it was part of the problem, but possibly the battery was flat at that moment.
If I insert the 19V adapter in the DC jack and measure the current sense resistor's voltage it fluctuates between 0V and 19.5V and the keyboard backlight flashes (probably because the battery is almost flat. It does the same when I run the laptop from battery).
There's a... - Loading...
