Razer Blade RZ09-01953 Switches off under Nvidia GPU load

Working on this Razor Blade RZ09-01953, which seems to work fine on light tasks or when the GPU stress test is running under Intel, but the minute it runs under Nvidia, it cuts power.

Could it be GPU failure? I ran some GUI memtests and came up fine. MATS GPU RAM test doesn't seem to boot

Anybody experienced it or have advice on where to look to? No liquid damage signs/

I have spotted slight corrosion signs around the KBD controller; cleaned but doesn't look serious. Still same.

There is a small chance but there is one. First make sure the GPU is recognized and running with latest drivers. If everything is good and issue still persists take a look at the Phases for creating GPU-Core. Sometimes there is at one Phase the Gate shorted with Drain (for example). I'd exclude that before saying dead GPU.

Thanks for your reply. No short on the GPU core MOSFETs. Reflowed them just in case.

The previous repair shops drowned Memory and MOSFET pads with thermal paste. Ultrasonic Cleaned the board just in case to prevent any short between Mosfet legs, not sure how elctro-conductive that thermal paste is.

Still the same cut-off when under GPU load. I also noticed that it sometimes cuts off when even loading windows, after that heat treatment.

Could it be a cold joint on the memory chips, which gapped up after the reheat? There is nothing much in that area.

the thermal paste looks like there was a bad hotspot on the gpu... or was it renewed? the thermal paste on the pads don't make sense though

When I look at the GPU die I'd the heatsink doesn't make proper contact. Could be part of the issue.
Also I'd even rule out the charger in case of it fails under load.

Yeah thought the same, hence went and UCd the whole board to make sure nothing conductive is left.

@Sephir0th, I feed it with 15A Bench PSU pulls 4A at max.Temps are in the 60*s range. When I fire up Heaven its stable on the loading part, but cuts off the minute game starts.

I went and reflowed the GPU, to eliminate cold joint. But still same. Maybe RAM chips next - seems to be common thing with Desktop GPUs. But cant run MATS to confirm.
