Check each of the following rails:
PP1v8_S3: Normal voltage is ~1.8v. Produced from U7800. (Powers system RAM.)
PP1v2_S3: Normal voltage is ~1.2v. Produced from U8100/Q8100. (Powers system RAM.)
PP1v_S3: Normal voltage is ~1.0v. Produced from U7800. (Powers some CPU functions.)Comment

The PCH will then de-assert (pull low) PM_SLP_S3_L and PM_SLP_S0_L momentarily to enable the final stage in the power up sequence.
Confirm the following voltages:
PP1v2_S0SW: Normal voltage is ~1.2v. Produced from U8240.
PP1v_S0SW: Normal voltage is ~1.0v. Produced from U7800.
PPVCCIO_S0_CPU: Normal voltage is ~0.95v. Produced from U8110/Q8102.
PPVCCSA_S0_CPU: Normal voltage is ~1.5v. Produced from U7100/U7290/Q7291.
PPVCORE_S0_CPU: Normal voltage is ~ 0.75v. Produced from U7100/U7210/U7230.
PPVCCGT_S0_CPU: Normal voltage is ~ 0.75v. Produced from U7100/U7410/U7430.Comment

Reflash the T2 Rom (U2890; 3v3 device) using the dump from here:

* backup your original flash before erasing the deviceComment

U2890 is USB-C controller ROM, not T2.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardViewComment

U2890 is USB-C controller ROM, not T2.
Is the display attached ? Can you test without the display to see if the results are different ?
Can you confirm the voltages for the SOC ROM ?
Check the Vcc; MISO; MOSI pins. Suspecting some I2C / SMBUS / SPI widget is timing out and the boot process restarts / loops.Comment

My bad - all in the basket of Tx propreitary crapware. The TBT rom was only to confirm the image is stable to maintain the 20V power delivery contracts.

Lenovo Ideapad 100-15ibd
Laptop turns on and restarts every 7 seconds or so.
Power led and Webcam led turn on and goes off repeatedly.
Pressing the power button does absolutely nothing.
Same thing happens whether the bios battery is connected or not.
I tried resetting the bios, press power button to drain power etc.,
but no change same thing. I tried numerous ram modules but same result.
Using a desktop power supply I can see the amps going to zero and rebuilding,
same thing with multimeter. Doesn't matter if I plug in adapter or main battery,... -
by Sephir0thHello Community,
i'm troubleshooting this one since days and actually i'm really lost because i believe i'm Missing the required experience for an issue Like this...

by twonk9098Hi all,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.
I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.
I have tried a few new bios but exactly... -
by narfhi all,
first of all: i'm a (motivated) newbie, so please forgive me any stupid question i may or may not ask
i'm currently repairing a projector: Epson EB-U42 that doesn't start (no lights, nothing).
what i've found so far:
- the PSU does its job and supplies 12V to the mainboard via the connector.
- shortly thereafter, there is a mosfet (TS420-600B) where i can test 12V on the one side (in the data sheet this side is called Anode), Gate 0V, Kathode shorted to ground
- not far away, there's the first cap with a resistance of 0.7 ohms.... -
by ProsatanoszHi!
Asus B85M-GAMER absolute no hdmi output (not at start, not at Windows), and random restarts. Everything work, except hdmi and random restarts after 0.1-3 min. Restarts even in bios. On VGA Windows boots up fast, games and apps starts ok. Mem, psu, cpu changed, no luck. I need shematic, because i think the restarts caused by the hdmi failure. - Loading...
