    Macbook Pro 13" 820-3115-B (help for LVDS line components)

    Happy New Year to all,
    I have a 2012 macbook pro 13 motherboard 820-3115-B with the following problem (due to water damage): it starts up normally but does not go on screen. I checked the LVDS CONNECTOR line and found the following damaged components:

    L9004: FERR-120-OHM-1.5A 0402-LF
    L9008: 120-OHM-0.3A-EMI 0402-LF

    In the repair I would prefer to replace the adjacent capacitors as well: C9010 and C9015: 0.001UF 10% 50V X7R-CERM 0402.

    On Mouser I tracked down the following components respectively for:

    L9004 with the following component:BLM15EG121SN1D
    C9010 and C9015: with the following component: X7R0402HTTP102K
    but for the L9008 component: 120-OHM-0.3A-EMI 0402-LF I have great difficulty finding a compatible product.

    I ask you if you could confirm the choice of the components I identified and help me in the search for the L9008 component.
    Thank you in advance for your attention.
    I am attaching an image of the scheme in question.

    These are all jellybean parts. Any 0402 sized part that can pass the current can be used for the ferrite bead without concern.

    It is ok to use BLM15EG121SN1D for each of the ferrite beads.

    Also check Arrow - they are very good at carrying such parts. If needed, send me a PM and can try to drop ship the parts from Arrow. They should be pretty cheap for each.

    https://www.arrow.com/en/products/bk...tv/taiyo-yuden
    * will be ideal for L9008

    or just purchase:
    https://www.arrow.com/en/products/nc...nic-components
    * rated @ 2A so will work for both the L9008 and L9004 locations

    and use Samsung for the capacitors:
    https://www.arrow.com/en/products/cl...ctro-mechanics

    We have free shipping worldwide. Send a PM if you need help. Unless the customs is evil in your area, they should allow for such a low cost order to enter without extra fees. We can test the waters.

        Hello Mon2,
        thank you very much for your suggestions and directions.
        Unfortunately I tried to buy the products that you recommend on Arrow but the VAT number is required that I do not have.
        Send me a PM and let us see if it can work with our Arrow account.

            You are right about the VAT. If we change the shipping address to Italy, then the form presents a need for the VAT #.

            Can you order from Digikey ?

                Repair Update:
                The damage suffered by this card is the result of a liquid leaking onto the laptop.

                After discovering that the L9004 ferrite bead was burnt and a square was blown, I proceeded to replace and rebuild the square and the track.
                I also replaced the adjacent C9015.
                Furthermore, the L9008 also seemed to be discontinued and I proceeded to replace it along with the C9010.
                I am attaching a photo of the completed repair.
                The result was positive, LVDS line restored.

                Thanks to mom2 for advice on the correct components to replace.

                  Now the laptop has other problems:
                  It does not charge the battery and the charge LEDs do not work.
                  I ran Apple Hardware Test online and found the following errors which I show in the picture.

                    Good job on the repair !

                    Review the following:

                    < see attached >

                    Post the voltages on the battery connector - pins 1-9. Connect the battery for this test.

                        Sorry for the misunderstanding.

                        No voltage injection. Measure the voltage on the battery connector with your multimeter - pins 1-9.

                        Red meter probe on pin #1, black on ground.

                        Then repeat with #2 pin and ground, etc.

                        Then post the measurements here for a review.

                              Pins 4 and 6 are of concern on this connector.

                              Remove the battery and check the voltage of pins 4 and 6 again.

                              If still 0 volts, disconnect all power. Meter in resistance mode (2k scale).

                              Then red meter probe to pin #4 of this connector, black meter probe to ground.

                              What is the resistance?

                              Then repeat for pin # 6 and ground.

                              Post your measurements.

                                I'm sorry, I just wanted to tell you that the measurement I took was performed without the power supply inserted.
                                With the power supply inserted and the laptop switched off, the values change:

                                pin01= 0V
                                pin02= 0V
                                pin03= 0V
                                pin04= 3,44V
                                pin05= da 0,009V a 0,030V (in ciclo continuo)
                                pin06= 3,44V
                                pin07= 0,132V
                                pin08= 0,132V
                                pin09= 0,132V

                                    The new voltage and resistance checks are good for the SMBUS interface.

                                    With the battery & adapter connected, check the voltages on mosfet @ Q7055.

                                    This is the battery mosfet. Check the voltage of:

                                    source (1-2-3)

                                    gate (4)

                                    drain (5-6-7-8)

                                    If the battery is detected by the logic board, then this mosfet should be ON to charge the battery.

                                    Q: Can you boot normally to the Mac OS desktop ? Once you are there, what does the System Preferences -> Battery Health report ?

                                    Does it show any of the details for your battery ? If yes, then the SMBUS is communicating with this battery pack OK - this will be a good start.

                                      sorgente (1-2-3) = 12,31V

                                      gate (4) = 12,28V

                                      drain (5-6-7-8) = 0,132V

                                        If I boot with hd, the laptop shuts down when it tries to load the operating system.
                                        If, on the other hand, I try to download the operating system from internet recovery mode, the laptop does not turn off but i get the following message: Internet Recovery Error -1007F
