    Replacing CD3215B01 on 820-00244 / A1534

    Hello,
does anyone know if the CD3215B01 on this board can be replaced by CD3215B03 (or C00) ?

I have one here with a short (sort of ~ 100 ohms) to ground on USBC_XA_CC2.
The effect is that all connectors work only if inserted one way, but not reverse.

The owner says he can live with that, but i assume it will degrade further over time and kill the chip.

Has anybody tried this change ?

I found this: on this site https://witcomputers.com/product/cd3...ller-chip-ics/
It says the b00 is not compatible with the b03
The CD3215B03, CD3215B01 might be interchangeable but I don't know for sure

        OK, thanks.

To be sure, your answer is about B01 / B03 ?

        Not about B00 (possible typo C00 ??) mentioned by R_J ?
