    Hello.
Have this Dell G7 LA-E994P that after water spill and cleaning did not start.
It was get to me from other shop that clean corossion, but i dont know where.

Board have 3.3V, 5V, 1.0V, 1.8V but no RAM, CPU, GPU power and on GPU coils i measure 0.2ohm to ground, but even after removing gpu coils nothing changed. power switch works ok, but i try to measure which pin on KBC is PWSW but cannot find it

    Dont have schematic

0.2Ohm are very very low. You measured on which side is the short after removing the coil? What did you tried, to convert it to UMA?

Resistance to ground lower than 1 ohm is normal on VCore of NVidia 1000 series and newer. Hard to say what's actually a short to ground and what's not.

PIN127 of kbc is power sw_in and there is no power button on this kbc. You need to trace the resistor connected to pin 127 of kbc. The other side of the resistor is power button and powerbutton on this mb is powered by RTC.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                      by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

                      Dell Latitude E5590(La-f411p) water damaged
                      by estabilito
                      Hi,
I have water damaged Dell Latitude E5590 around charging ic.
Laptop was dead but i replaced some components like capacitors, resistors, resoldered charger(intersil 9538h) but traces under PQ904 dual mosfet(AOE6936) was burnt.
I rebuilt traces and both mosfets(PQ904 and PQ905) and after all this work laptop started turning on.
I dont have battery so i want to be sure if laptop behaviour is normal before buying.
On PL902 i have weird voltage around 5Volts, on battery socket voltage looks normal - 13.5v.
Is this voltage on pl902 normal?...

                      by Akhlz001
                      Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

20 year old Kenmore refrigerator ice maker bad water valve coil took a crap
                      by sam_sam_sam
I got lucky that when I got home and was about to get some ice out of the ice dispenser I hear and see water running down the outside of the ice dispenser what the heck is going on here

At first I thought that the ice dispenser mold was cracked so I brought a new ice maker because this one has been in there for about 10 years now

Well I put the new one in and wait and I wait for the water valve to open and let water in no such luck well there is a way to check the function of the motor and the water valve on this ice maker just need a jumper wire “L” to...

                      by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...
