    MacBookPro A1502 820-3536 kernel panic.

Hi, this MacBook boots with its internal ssd a bit slow.

With a windows based boot disk, it boots witout problems and with normal speed.

I've tried to boot from asd 3s162, and it boots but shows a message of kernel panic "failure missing me".

With asd162 "EFI" didn't pass "Management engine presence test".

I have tested two different clean ME bios and the problem's still the same.

Any hint to solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

If you're 100% sure ME region has been cleaned properly, check/replace Q1920.

Thanks piernov for your quick answer.

I have no other dual mosfet for replace Q1920, but al voltages seems to be good in its pins.

      pin 3= 1.5 volts
      pin 2= 3.4 volts
      pin 4, 5, 6= 0,01

SPI_DESCRIPTOR_OVERRIDE has no voltage. (I think it has to be at high level in order to write the ME region)

Bios dumps are downloaded from other internet forums and marked as "cleaned".

I will try to clean the original bios and post if it solve the problem.

Have you seen this messages before?

As I was not 100% sure about ME region, I made my own dump cleaning the original dump, but something went wrong and it didn't boot.

So I decided to test other bios from this forum, and by mistake downloaded a dump from this link: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...4&postcount=14

At first didn't notice that this bios is for a 820-3476-A, not the 820-3536.

The weird thing is that it chimes with no delay, and boot asd without kernel panic.

Asd362 now boots and makes all test, but sows a few errors:

I dont know if this errors are problems from board or they are because incompability bios issue. (this board has had spilled coffee in the past)

At least, seems that pch and smc are not damaged.

I will test the circuits involved an will post the results.

Make sure Magsafe is plugged in properly and there is no bad contact in the connector during the test.

Re: MacBookPro A1502 820-3536 kernel panic.

Asd362 now boots and makes all test, but sows a few errors:
Seems that ASD 3S162 is a bit buggy, as I've read from other forums.

Finally I have repaired the "ME region" from original dump, and all is working properly.

ASD 3S162 keeps showing weird errors.

            Some weird errors:

            - Verifies PCIe root port error bits for wireless module doesn't register any NAKs
[16:41:17] ERROR - -12100 [IOConnect error reading from PCI address space] -- TEST FAILED

            - Checks the SATA link error registers for dropped data packets using direct PCI access.
[16:41:18] ERROR - -12105 [PCI driver IOService open error] -- TEST FAILED

            - Verifies that a unit can automatically sleep and wake using the OS sleepx tool with 30/60/1 settings.
[16:48:31] ERROR -- 11 [Invalid wake event] -- TEST FAILED

These are as an example, but there are a few more.

So the problem was bios corrupted, but only in ME region.

            Thanks your valuable help.

Macbook Pro 16" A2141 screen artefacts, kernel panic
              by sofles
              Hi there.

I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).

Now situation looks like this, If...

MacBook Pro A2141 - macOS Kernel Panic
              by prw07
Mac crashes and restarts with kernel panic. No water damage on board. Board is clean. Memtest86 showing no errors. The installation Ventura or Sonoma is successful, but after 5-10 minutes of operation, the accident occurs again. Did a DFU restore and revive, twice with success and successfully reinstalled Sonoma. After 5 minutes of work Mac crashes with Kernel Panic. Apple Diagnostic (AHT) does not find errors.
How to localize the problem ?

              A1990 Constant Kernel Panic: AMDFramebufferVIB::setPowerState
              by ronaldopdias
Hi, I have an A1990, i9 & Radeon 560X. Before it was freezing every few seconds, almost as if failing SSD, even on external macOS installation. I have tried a clean reinstall, revive + restore T2 firmware and it now works fine, other than it seems to kernel panic after some time in sleep.

Below is the kernel panic log, its similar to a lot of posts online for the same model, with no comments on how to fix the issue, and whether its firmware related or an LB issue. Most seemed to happen running Catalina but I am on the latest version of macOS Ventura....

Macbook Air 2013 820-3437 OSx Frozen and Kernel Panic Missing ME
              by Wachenaggo
I got 2013 820-3437 that can't boot completely onto OSx and can load EFI ASD BUT can't on OS ASD and it gives this kernel panic error FAILURE missing ME. I already check ME disable strap HDA_SDOUT_R is low

Also before I reflash the bios I was able to boot osx 10.9 maverick SSD from another client. But when I install a fresh maverick it is frozen.

I already reflash bios using ch341 with clean me provided by piernov and 2informaticos then I even make my own using piernov's guide. some of those BIOS are boot looping the system.

              I also manage to damage...

              Philips QFU1.1 Kernel Panic
              by Beeldbuisje
Typical issues of a QFU chassis: doesn't start sometimes, sometimes nothing after some hours etc.
When not starting, this thing gives a Kernel panic when logging.

So first things first: reballing of the Fusion, same behavior. Tried a NAND from a working SSB from exactly the same tv (40PFL8007K/12), the same Kernel panic.

I know too little from a Linux system to interpret this error. Could a Linux professional give me some help pls.
When I log the working SSB, I've got exactly the same till the Kernel Panic.
