Hi gooday i have a very technical issue here with a Macbook pro 2012 820-3115-B which is gives me a greenlight but no fan spin and doesn't seem to power on.On my bench power supply i get a reading off 19v 0.15 A and it stays there..I have checked for all major voltage requirements and most of them are present..I even have another identical working board that i use to compare voltages. But i still can't figure out the issue..Can u guys please help me maybe trace it down? I have all tools to remove and also measure ics and capacitors..Thanks

Re: Macbook Pro 2012 Greenlight but not Power On
Go down the list of power rails on the schematics and list all voltages.
Also history of the machine always give hints.OpenBoardView — https://github.com/OpenBoardView/OpenBoardView -
Re: Macbook Pro 2012 Greenlight but not Power On
Ok sir i have attached all the voltages listed below...Funny enough while going tru the first set of voltage testing i noticed the Power Supply only drawing 0.01 Amps which is strange..Because before i was getting 0.14A and some of the voltages which are now 0v was giving me readings..Weird..But the history of this machine is that it came in from a friend for both usb ports not working..Everything else was functioning properly and working..I removed and replaced U4600 from a donor board ..I powered it up and while it was booting the whole system just shut off...And that was when i started having this no power issue..So as of now it gives me intermittent greenlight..It stays on green for 5 seconds then goes..And comes back after 60 seconds then goes..now it's drawing 0.01A

Gooday people i have a 820-3115-B Macbook pro 2012 that gives me greenlight but does not power on...History of the machine was there was no green-light and dead. And i replaced the ISL chip for brand new 1...Greenlight now but will not power on automatically or fan spin.I checked most of my relevant power rails and i realize that PP5v_S3 is missing...It's drawing 0.02 Amps Possible you guys can help me pinpoint the issue? btw 12.58v on PPBUS_G3H

by meraklinetxHello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...

by durchfallI have a MacBook Pro 15" late 2011, it has a dead GPU and was sent to a repair center for this issue multiple times, the last time the original owner of this machine decided to not fix it anymore. The repair center returned the machine, but they desoldered the GPU and VRAM, it just physically isn't there anymore. The machine did originally work, we'll get to it.
What it does now: does not turn on in SMC bypass mode, the fans just twitch and I can hear a ticking sound from the board, almost like there was a short circuit. But in normal mode it does start, fans spin for about 10 seconds,... -
by Gigabit2Got a MacBook Pro A1286 15 here, mid 2012. Doesn't power on and no LED on the charger.
Looks like some possible liquid damage on the keyboard but board looks okay from a visual inspection.
Can somebody please kindly help me in diagnosing this one? -
by Joe24Have a Gigabyte 2070 Super with some bonkers power draw readings. Card runs fine, other than some GPU throttling because of the power numbers. But GPU power always reads too high, more than the power reading for the entire card. And VRAM power always reads way too low, along with PCIe and 6-pin power readings. The 8-pin reading seems plausible.
Typical readout while running 720p Furmark, 8x AA:
GPU clock: 1590 MHz
Mem clock: 1750 MHz
GPU temp: 58.8 °C
Hot spot: 71.8 °C
Fan speed: 33% / 1000 rpm
Mem used: 454 MB
GPU load: 97%
